university discretionary funds are public money, regardless of where the revenue originated. Thanks for this, at least. Trying to force assert your Communist fantasies doesn't make them valid. This sentence is laughably false, as any university will tell you. And it's absolutely correct that it is indeed false.

Each state gives an exact amount to a public school each year, and it can only be spent on specific things. It has to be accounted specially, in case any audit is done.
Indeed, as I correct said: no Washington taxpayer subsidy money to WSU will be used to pay off Rolovich. Point stands

I continue to be amazed at how gopher will just make things up and confidently state them as being authoritatively true.

^ Offers nothing. Just hates that my correct assessment of how the world actually works is completely contrary to how you fantasize about how you want the world to work.
Too bad, get over yourself and actually listen to other people and compromise with them. You're not right, and they're not wrong.

Duly noted, but I’m curious as to why you mentioned it on my post instead of answering gopher directly. 🤷🏾♂️ Because he's wrong and if you think he's right, you're also wrong. That didn’t really answer my question but I’ll just chalk it up to you trying to be efficient. 😁

Ha I just read one of moody’s posts for the first time in a while and was instantly remind why I stopped. I was also reminded how much he lives in a pot calling the kettle black world. Somebody let me know if he ever says something of relevance, that is if you actually take the time to read his rants. 🤣

We'll just chalk it up as (another) L for merv.

Indeed, claimed someone was wrong and then refused to explain why. We'll just chalk it up as (another) L for merv. He did explain why. You just didn't believe it, or maybe you didn't understand it. Unless Rolovich gets paid out of foundation funds, university discretionary funds are public money, regardless of where the revenue originated. Mervin would know. He has posted on this board what he does for a living. It's directly related to this conversation.

Nope, he never did. All he ever did is try to force assert that any money a public university spends is "public money". He's lying. Also changing the argument (more dishonesty), because "public money" is far more ambiguous and flimsy than "taxpayer money" (mike's original wording). The latter can only refer to funds directly appropriated from the state (of Washington, in this case) to the school (WSU, in this case).
Such direct, specific money can only be used by the school on very specific things, and it certainly would not be allowed to be used to pay off Rolovich in any settlement or verdict. That proves that I'm correct.

Can't wait when WSU settles with Rolovich and the reporting specifically says that "No taxpayer money will be used to pay for the settlement".
Then we'll see what he concocts to continue lying and pretend as if he never said that.
