They should win over Mizzou but every time I start getting too confident about K-State they seem to drop one I wasn’t expecting. Haven’t seen Missouri since Josh Taylor started passing out red hats. Are they any better than they’ve been the last couple seasons? Manifesting a clean sweep foe the Big12 today! Haven't seen them, 4-2 with wins over Northern Kentucky, Missouri St, Abilene Christina and Northwestern St and losses to Louisville and South Dakota. |

None of these matches s/b automatics for K-State. |

Missouri State has been absolutely horrible so far this year - that program has really gone on hard times. |

K-State beats Mizzou in 5 With a freshman leading the way. They have to do a better job of closing out matches. UGH Now this certainly looks like a curious match for K-State. Win the first 2 sets, lose the next two, then wins the 5th. Hinkle starts at setter for sets 1 and 2. It appears that LeGarde set in 3 and 4, then Hinkle back for the 5th (Hinkle did come in at some point in either set 3 or 4). Carter got pulled in the 1st and 2nd sets - Freshman Shaylee Myers (out of Lincoln Nebraska) comes in and puts up 23 kills (.419), 9 digs and 2 blocks. I don't think they win this match w/o her? Also, she becomes a candidate for B12 Freshman (or Rookie) of the week. But then - how much will she play this weekend? I cannot imagine Carter gets benched to start the matches and Baka isn't likely to go anywhere. Loren Hinkle has to be the biggest surprise setter in the conference. 3 year DS becomes successful starting setter her senior year. Grew up down the road from where I lived - good for her. |
