Hopefully... last year's was awful. 

but you also have to take tonight with a grain of salt with Anni and Kenzie blocking

I feel like Jaylen deserves an award. he was taken out of his natural position of coaching; he was taken out of his natural position of libero; he was taken out of ... he was not properly spandexed as the rest of them. despite all the adversities, he did not go down without swinging, 26 mostly unsuccessful times. that is a warrior!!

Only person happier than I am that Nebraska Volleyball 2022 has arrived seems to be Kaitlyn Hord!

The red team hit over .300 in a Red-White scrimmage. Pretty unusual if you look in the history books. Maybe a preview for the season? But I thought Orr could have been a little more consistent in location to the left side hitters, even though they both hit at a high percentage. Less service errors for this kind of match, i think. Orr in the first two sets was so money on things behind her, it seems. Hord was great with the block. The left sides were very efficient, even with Ally sitting tonight. Hayden was especially good in the first two sets. The middles were solid on offense and the defense was good. Some communication errors but not a lot. All in all, it was a very solid public showing in prep for the real thing starting next weekend.

Question, did the Libero take second ball every time if the setter dug the first? Even if Nicklin was on the floor as a DS? I know it’s the traditional way to go but seems like a missed opportunity in this case..

it felt like whoever was closer took it. 

i only remember nicklin setting a few.
