And does Nebraska regularly go A vs B teams for their season scrimmages? Or has it been more balanced with mixed teams in the past? last year was sorta balanced. they also switched rosters. covid year was not balanced... but the "B" team had kelly hunter and a mens player I was relieved to see the coaches set out a prospective starting team. IMO It was scary having them continue to "search" for a solution well into the season last year.

It was so impressive to be there. Red team hitting over .300 was very impressive offensively. Great depth. Not sure who moves to the starting lineup but firepower is everywhere. Defense will be great again but not sure it matches last year. The talent is spectacular but this team will need to gel quickly so they don’t drop any bad matches.

Defense will be great again but not sure it matches last year. You lose the *elite* setter floor defense with Hames shifting to DS, but we are gaining 1. Kennedi at the net, much more physical than Nicklin 2.Our blocking in general is going to be *much* better imo. Hord (!) and Allick are the obvious upgrades in that regard, but we also will have Krause on the left pin blocking (as opposed to Ally) and Whitney on the opposite pin, both of whom are strong blockers.

Was most impressed with Kennedi as setter. Quick tempo, good distribution, took charge, ran the team and very athletic. Answered many questions in this scrimmage match. If I heard correctly they want her to vary tempo and she needs to set some players a bit higher, particularly Kaitlyn. That will come. Those sets from Lexi to Kennedi: WOW!
As for the rest of the team, it all looked good to me. Seems potential for improvement over last year at the pins and MB, particularly MB blocking. Back row defense very solid, no let off from last year.
Very excited to see this team grow thru the season! GBR!
One disappointment, either I missed it or the BTN+ feed did not provide good audio of the new Red Kingdom song. Something else to look forward to.

Only person happier than I am that Nebraska Volleyball 2022 has arrived seems to be Kaitlyn Hord! That smile is stunning, she lights it up. I was also impressed with her presence and thoughtfulness in the post-match press conference. She appears to be an exceptional young woman.

I think on Friday we will see Orr-Lauenstein (Hames) Kubik-Krause (Knuckles) Allick-Hord Rodriguez I think Allick has definitely shown she is more ready than Maggie. Rotation 1 is still gonna be an issue. We saw it a few times tonight.... Lauenstein stepping in a little bit to pass was interesting. I think there's definitely a lot of options to make up for no Akana or Caffey. I was very surprised by Maisie's passing. I was impressed by Lil Kubik and she could very well be #2 off the bench. Serving needs to be more consistent. Too many service errors and weak serves. Great take, all good points. I too was pleasantly surprised by the White team play, not only Maisie, but Mendolson and H Kubik. (I’m guessing she may not love “Lil Kubik”, but it sure is cute . Anni did a respectable job too, I thought. Things seemed to fall off a bit in set three. Red team especially didn’t seem as sharp. It seems unlikely that was due entirely to swapping the two frosh MBs, and I wonder if some were starting to tire a bit?

Honestly, standing room only is pretty fun 🤷♂️ Some goobers have started to figure out that that's where I hang out. I've heard the jokes about putting tiki bars up there and I want them to take it seriously. There's actually, like, a decent amount of space up there. I usually hang out on the east end zone, when I go. A tiki bar is not an unrealistic possibility! 😂
