Disappointing if Crowl is a complete nothing on the right for MN. Seems like such a prototype for an effective player, being a 6-4 lefty. I wonder if it's nerves. First time starting and playing time. Hanson didn't seem to have any problem.

Baylor has given Minnesota 30 points in errors. They’re battling and if the outsides can clean it up even just slightly, they’d have a chance. Minnesota only outscoring Baylor by 9 points on the match despite the poor Baylor offensive performance. It's easy to say that Baylor just made mistakes hitting and it would've been closer. I give credit to Minnesota's block. If they're disciplined and in place, it can frustrate hitters and they end up going for more or trying to hit around them, effectively having to hit a much smaller target to score. Good on the gophers.

Go crazy middles! Love to see that evolution and good on Mel for putting in the work to make that happen. Carter Booth is going to be a problem. Can’t wait for Kenny to join the lineup sometime down the road to make it 2 formidable freshman. I have a feeling Hanson will also be a formidable freshman I’d love that, but the only way I see that happening is if Mckenna is out for an extended period of time. It’d be a great situation for the team to have if Hanson played so well though that it becomes challenging for Mckenna to unseat her.

Good starting win. I know a team's performance can be nit-picked and analyzed all day and of course the Gophers have work to do as do all teams. But, still, it's nice to get out of the gates with a win over a good team, especially considering the tough early schedule which has virtually no gimmees (maybe TCU?)

Well, I was too tired last night to comment. Good win for the Gophers. I liked how the coaching staff used substitutes in this match. Love what the middles did. Maybe we will see Nya Gros tonight? Gophers Win 3-1 as predicted by VT. Box Recap 1 2 3 4 Minnesota 23 25 25 25 Baylor 25 16 23 17
