Rosen at Mich? I read somewhere that his contract expires at the end of 2022. His job is more than safe IMO

I don’t know that the Rosens are in the hot seat but I wouldn’t be surprised if they chose to retire.

Bumping this as people have resurrected last year’s thread.

I totally disagree, his charisma may be the only thing that suggests he belongs at that level. Aird has charisma? I’ll look harder. Anyone who knows anything about Aird and his career knows his ability to market himself, his program, network, relate to recruits has been his best strength. I’m not making any judgement on personality being good or bad, or what has occurred at Indiana.

I know you're saying it's in the Probably Safe/Cool Seat, but it doesn't make any sense for Bechard to appear anywhere in this thread. Yep, I just checked the timeline, and it really does say you made this post on August 28, 21:14 GMT. I don't know what you're thinking.

Maryland just signed a new contract and Alabama is in her first year.

every coach outside the top 50 to 75 is on the hot seat; in the 'new world', if you don't perform you are risking your best players getting poached and not looking all that attractive to potential transfers. even if you do perform, you are risking your best players transferring out. it's 24/7 recruiting more so than before. That is the opposite of correct.

Duke has been so hot for a long time that it turned to ash.

Putting Adam Hughes on the hot seat is really saying something.

Michigan is fine. Maryland signed an extention 3 weeks ago. umterps.com/news/2022/8/2/maryland-volleyball-head-coach-adam-hughes-signs-extension.aspx Oklahoma is 3-0 with a win over a the Big 10. As I said, before, you really need to wait until they lose if you want to be taken seriously. Arkansas just beat Washington to record their highest ranked win in 15 years. Again, not this week. Georgia 3-0 with a win over Santa Clara. See comments above on Oklahoma. Loyola Marymount - had the 23rd ranked recruiting class, and in 2019 and they are now juniors. 1-2 with 2 losses to top 25 teams. Nebraska is up next. UCLA a week later. I'm not seeing any potential for heat here at least until Long Beach on the 16th and 17th. Fresno State - Can and interim coach be on the hotseat? It's not even her seat, really. UC Irvine - if they don't go 3-0 this weekend, I'll cosign on this one for you. St. Mary's, Pacific, and Nevada - Unlike most of your list, these may actually be hot seats, but I don't know the administrative conditions or contractual status and given most of your other suggestions, I don't think you do either.

Thinking Byrd’s seat is a bit warm at A&M. Think this is her contract year and seems like the program has dropped a bit since they forced the Corbelli’s out.

How many contracts have you seen? I think I nailed 7 coaches last year. You keep mentioning non conference records and recruiting classes which really don't matter if you go 6-14 in conference. ADs are smart, they can see through this fluff. How do you know about buying out coaches? Do you know their contract end dates? I've publicly requested most of the contracts. I've have them.

In my opinion, the hottest seats; Oregon St, Georgia, Loyola, Nevada, and Michigan.
Again, all my opinion, but I've seen contracts. I predicted 7 correct last year
Posting my opinions...
-keep in mind, this is women's volleyball, not men's basketball or football. The majority of the coaches won't have their contract renewed not fired or resigned. Not unless a donor is willing to buy out the contract, no one is being given money to not coach volleyball.
-Hot Seat can always turn warm or cold.
-contracts will expire unless something happens
-just my opinion, I don't think anyone should be fired, I think the following has a warm seat at least.
Pac-12 Oregon St. 11-47 in the P12 the last 3 years Colorado (29-51 last 4 pac12)
Big 10 Michigan (39-34 last 4, big 10)
Big12 Kansas St (28-52 big 12 last 5) Kansas (28-36 big 12 last 4)
SEC Georgia (new ad, 44-50 in sec) Arkansas (34-46 in the last four sec seasons)
WCC Loyola (24-28 in wcc the last 3 years, 1st losing season in 10 years) St Marys (34-38 in wcc last four) Pacific (25-38 in wcc last four)
Safe Mississippi St (24-50 in sec)
