CU takes Set 1, 27-25. Their passing really heated up down the stretch - a lot of dimes. Simpson to Hadrych already is a great connection. They missed 6 serves and still won.

ILL just seems lackluster. Haydrich, Maybron and their 6'7" middle just on. ILL needs some fire.

CU offense looks really smooth when they get the ball in the setter's hands. Illinois' defense can't keep up. They need to do that more - they have a lot of empty/no swing "possessions" and are giving up kills on some diggable balls. If they served the ball in more in Set 1 they might have put up a margin.
