Good win for Wisconsin. As per always, let's NOT do this again this season (I have tremendous respect for Marquette and do not want to play them in the NCAA Tournament)!

Ok, so Franklin didn’t have a great match. She still had a double double. Demps did what she did extremely well last year. Smrek and Julia were solid. Hart is looking like she’ll be as good as she was before she tore her acl once she is full strength. Those are all good things.
Setters looked to be more comfortable and in the flow than previously. Defense looked good against hard swings. Seems like we need to communicate a lot better and understand responsibilities better against off speed.

Good games from Orzol, Robinson, Ashburn and Demps.
Honestly surprised they won this.

Grace is a HUGE upgrade from some of the scrubs that have been thrown out there. For her first shot at being on TV, I think it went well. Granted I only caught the latter portion of the 3rd set on, so I don’t know if the first 2 sets were shaky or not, but she seemed to have a lot of really good insight into what was going on.

I think she did well. The whole Rettke interview was a distraction, but she held steady. She really tried almost too hard to not be biased.

I think she did very well. I was happy to see that. Well done Grace!

I look forward to watching the replay and hearing the Loberg commentary.

Any idea if she will return this season? It's my understanding that she is still recovering from her injury last season, so it's a possibility. Vanden Berg and Svetnik both wearing the injury jerseys. Theis has burned the frosh eligibility upfront so their return may be late if at all. Good fight from Marquette. Badgers zeroed in on neutralizing Carson and Hamilton but the younger players stepped up. I liked that Foti and Reitsma had good games.

Marquette has some nice pins, and played a good defensive game. Impressive showing in the packed Fieldhouse. But Badgers we're just a bit better. Way too much to unravel for Wisconsin.
Fight Club is now adjourned.

Now that that annual brawl is over I can go back to rooting for the Jesuits in the regular season (which includes Creighton).
May we not meet again.
Also, was the only one that thought that the PA announced was hard to understand (I think it was the pitch of his voice)?
Bonnie, get Taste of Madison over with and come back soon.

I am always for Creighton in that match up, but only because KBB is a fellow Bulldog alum and the exact opposite of me athletically in our class in being a star setter!

Agree, always the edge in the Jesuit HTH brawl, because I think KBB is awesome and so devoted to Creighton.

This is one of those games that shows the importance of having had those big game moments. When the going got tough, it was the vets from last year with big plays: Robinson, Orzol, Demps.

lol. Post game coverage on BTN noted Devyn and ...... Franklin for their play.
#FakeNews
In no way was this a notably good game from Franklin. She had some good kills but several players deserved recognition before she should see any.
