You can have GA and have a season ticket (at least still for now). Maybe I should have clarified… that there ought to be a reserved seating entrance for those who don’t want to wait in line for an hour. If anything they should open the doors to the GA section first. Reserved seating has...well, reserved seats.

That said… what time is the ceremony tonight? The .iCal subscription from UW shows the match at 6pm, but the FB account for VB shows doors at 7. What time are ya’ll planning to arrive?

They said the banner drop happens at 7:35 p.m.I have never had trouble with lines at the Field House. You either have your ticket in hand or on your phone, and move to the ticket takers/checkers, or you stand in line to buy any GA tickets left. LOTS of people screw around in the entrance and block traffic, but the ticket staff usually motion you past all those people. Maybe it's "Wisconsin nice" but I have frequently seen 30-40 people in line for one checker, and 3 in line for another. Seems to be herd behavior....

Looking forward to hearing what Grace has to say during the game. This is actually a role I had never imagined for Grace. I remember one interview with Salima back in 2019, I think, left her a little tongue tied. I remember Salima laughing about it. It will be interesting. It IS interesting. She's the last person I would have imagined doing color commentary. She has seemed like a pretty quiet person when interviewed.

The last 20 minutes of warm-up to pretty tightly 'scripted' with regard to which team gets on the floor, etc. So will warmups happen before the ceremony, and then Marquette has to stand around for a half-hour? Will there be the twenty minute warmup after the ceremony, and first serve isn't really until 8:15, etc? The twitter account affirmed doors open at the normal 7 PM, but I'm betting - hoping? - they open a bit earlier than that.

The match is now showing as a sell-out. Last time I looked a day or two ago, there were a couple dozen 'corner' seats remaining.

7:00 opening isn’t going to work. That would be incredibly difficult to get everyone in line in that fast for a 7:35 ceremony.

Page 2 in just an hour. Unacceptable!

Well if Emily Ehman is the bar, the hurdle is low. It would be hard to be emotionally detached just one year out. Good luck!

Lot 17 is a hot mess. Backed up quite a way.

As we were walking up Monroe, past the police station, saw the line was all the way past the 2nd driveway. Walked up to the end of the Field House and that line had maybe 100 people in it. Was about 3-4 minutes to get inside.

Got in pretty quick. Discovered me seats aren’t as bad as I though. Definitely far back, but not obstructed. I think I maybe have been sitting in P at the Red-White Scrimmage, not Q. #oops.
That said, I can’t see the banners nor the scoreboard. There’s an opportunity here for some small replay screens to be hung.

No ceremony yet, and Marquette is on the court warming up.
Just after posting, said 5 minutes away.
