Kentucky never having won this tournament is so funny. R.I.P. I think that this might be the year that Kentucky wins this tournament. Creighton has a big game Friday night vs. USC, then an early next morning start vs. Kentucky. I also think highly of KY's group of hitters, including Lamb. I was thinking the same thing, and picked it that way on PTW. I will corroborate that jayj79 is correct and this, the 8th edition of the tournament, will be the last. KBB has said that in an interview. Pretty sweet that every team in the field has beaten every other team at least once in the history of the tournament.

Thanks. Going straight forward through the watch links it was only offering me $12.50 if I prepaid for a year. This is much better.

I think the blue jays have the upper hand here! I predict: creighton takes down usc 3-2 beats kentucky 3-1 and sweeps UNI

Creighton's block will need to improve if they want to go undefeated. I thought it was quite poor in Wyoming.
hopefully Norah Sis continues to do Norah Sis stuff

Anybody know if they're all planning on renewing the tournament another 4 years? No idea. I would imagine Creighton is a hot commodity among other schools cause they're great for RPI. UNI... not so much anymore, unless they can back to the top of the Valley. The idea of packing in 3 competitive matches in 2 days is just no longer a smart scheduling move. I also recall some pretty unbalanced schedules in this one in the past in terms of match times / rest, esp. since this tournament produced so many 5 setters.

(UNI isnt really that)

(UNI isnt really that) The rule changes actually make 4-team round-robin tourneys less appealing - with limits on total matches there's even less incentive to pack in more teams in a tourney. I think we'll see a lot more "conference challenge" type tourneys. And yes, UNI is not a team you want to play when you spent the previous day going 9 sets with KY/Creighton and your stud OH already has 100+ swings on her shoulder.

I thought they kept the amount of games the same, but removed the date thing. Never mind. I think Creighton will find two top teams to play (They have/need to). Wonder who they'll try to get. Or who even needs a team like Creighton to play.

Replace UNI with a solid big ten team and then the schedule would make sense - KY and Creighton will have extra matches available because of fewer conference matchups so they could play each other on Sunday after USC and their new friend leave.

They've been friendly with Illinois recently. I could see them asking Baylor to come up.
