Michigan went 5 sets with both of these teams last season at home, pulling off the reverse sweep against Duke before blowing a big lead against UNC to split the pair. I'm not sure what to make of my team right now, there are times when they have been absolutely humming on offense and defense and other times when they seem to be lost. This will be a good test for Blue.
My best guess is that Johnson and Pertofsky will be back this week, probably running a 6-2.

I expect these matches to be dog fights. All 4 teams have positions they are figuring out and some strengths in others. I def think UNC and Duke have home court advantage, esp UNC. MSU nor Michigan have played any Power 5 teams. UNC has played 2 and won both but neither are lighting the world up. So not much to go by.
I expect MSU vs. UNC will be very physical and a battle of newbies. UNC vs Michigan I expect to be scrappy and a battle of the pins. I do not see any of the UNC games being sweeps no matter who wins. I fully expect 4 or 5 set matches.

Gracie Johnson had 28 kills for Duke on 54 swings - Duke seems to be playing very outside heavy this year.
