Just watched Bergmann for the first time yesterday vs BYU and wow she is incredible and has definitely taken her game to another level. She plays differently than any NCAA attacker I’ve seen this year and that includes Eggleston who I very much stan. I need a Bergmann vs Eggleston match immediately. I’m a Texas fan. I wouldn’t trade Eggleston for anyone, including Bergmann. But if I was starting a college team and could have my pick of any current player, I’d pick Bergmann. She’s literally the equivalent of picking one of the starting OHes off the US National team to come help your club for a season. It’s not just her talent, which is immense. It’s also the training she’s receiving and the competition she’s going against, both among opponents and in the practice gym. It’s like Stephon Curry returning for college ball. And that’s what it looks like, too. |
