When was the last time Nebraska beat Stanford lol ? That’s not very nice. Funny, though. This is a different Stanford, though. They’ve owned Texas, too, but we’ve managed to get some shots in the last two years. I’m thinking Nebraska wants in on a little bit of that action. I’ve decided I’m rooting on Stanford for RPI and appearance purposes, but I’ve also got this secret vision tucked into the back of my mind that doesn’t feel realistic at all, that has an undefeated Texas facing an undefeated Nebraska in the championship game. I’ll put that dream in a coffin and bury it in the backyard when it dies, but until then I’m going to hope. |

I feel like Creighton being unable to defend that side (see Rutherford’s numbers) played a significant part in Lauenstein’s success. Doesn’t mean she can’t do something similar, but my feeling is her numbers are slightly more pedestrian versus the Tree, and other Nebraska players get an opportunity to step up. she may not go off for 25 points but I imagine she’ll be a big contributor again. |
