The Stanford team that showed up against Minnesota can beat Nebraska. The Stanford team that showed up against Penn State or Florida cannot. I’m interested to see if they turned a corner or that was an aberration. Stanford needs Nebraska to show up like Minnesota to have a chance at Nebraska!! Evaluating Stanfords ability as a team based on Minn. match not useful.

I still believe Stanford performed better against Minnesota than they did against Penn State, and that was a factor.

I still believe Stanford performed better against Minnesota than they did against Penn State, and that was a factor. as bad as Minnesota was, Stanford also played very well. their passing was strong against a tough serving team and they played much better defense and dug a lot of balls they usually don't dig. they also missed few serves, if miner kipp and baird aren't missing those are pretty tough serves. Minnesota could've played a lot better but stanford put a lot of pressure on them in multiple aspects

If they accomplish nothing else this season, I need Stanford to pull it together for one match and one match only. how rude Your too polite... More like how typical Texan...

Gotta believe NE motivated for this one: the team and the crowd. Last year Coach Cook threw his freshman into the fire vs Stanford. Those players, now sophomores, have grown up a lot. They will be motivated...

And use that game to say Stanford needs to play that way versus Nebraska. Go look at Texas-Minnesota , and then Stanford -Minnesota , dont get me wrong Stanford is talented, team, and How they play at Nebraska will be a measure: but how they played Minnesota says more about how poor Minn. played then how good Stanford was! (Tex-min - min 49 kills to tex- 52) ; (Stan- minn. 39 kills minn - to 54 k for stan) stan held minny to .102 H% stanford didnt hold Lipscomb or Tennesse state to .102: Minnesota’s hitting percentage was the worst of any opponemt this year versus Stanford : half of Minnesota’s attacks seemed to forearm passes and standing on the floor roll shots:

A good defensive day is when other team in system 60% and you block and dig your way to success. Not when they are having their worst day of year attacking. The Minny thread is all about there inadequacy that night: serve and serve: you exceeded you ace per set numbers significantly:but you had same number of kills per set as about your average: 13.5k/s same as yearly average: thats not an improvement on previoys matches this year : you have led your opponents for year on missed serves: but an excellent SO% takes care of missed serves and allows for more risk when serving, “never the less” looking forward to their match up this werk
