Biggest take away for me as a Husker fan - Huskers respond to Stanford on the road while facing set point in the first set! Other things: Orr seemed to finally get in a little rhythm that last set, lots of Husker fans in the building, Cook looked dare I say happy at times when we delivered some OOS rips, Whit is just a fun person to listen too (and watch while absolutely cursing balls), Hord still seems so happy and playing loose even tho she still isn’t getting set well. GBR!

GG Nebraska. As far as Kentucky, I don't mind losing, I just hate the way we consistently choked sets away. Over the last 9 days, whenever UK needed to dig deep they hit a layer of impenetrable granite and nobody could make the play. The passes get worse, the sets are bad, the attacks go wide, the block becomes even swiss cheesier, serves go into the antenna. The first lost set turns into a second. They actually responded to some adversity in set 4 against UofL and I thought maybe they turned some type of mental corner and then we proceeded to hit everything out in the 5th. My hope is they build up some confidence playing teams not in the top ten and finally get it clicking, because if they don't it might drive me to barbiturate abuse. I feel your pain! On the opposite end, I was very nervous this would be the Huskers story after having set point and then giving up a set. Luckily for me they dug deep (mixed with Kentucky errors). Rooting for Kentucky to get better! |

OK, I know that Nebraska's setting was pretty bad, but did Orr get better as the match went on, or did I imagine that because I want it so bad? If Nebraska is going to continue with the 6-2, I think I would go with Orr as setter #2 (behind Hames, when she returns). She was getting better. I still believe she will be Nebraska's main setter by the end of the season. |

Maybe if no one looks top ten, then y'all just need to adjust to what top ten looks like this year? Lol I think it's exciting that there isn't a massive gap between #2 and #13. that's how most other sports are. Texas really ruined the vibe tbh because it would be SUCH a wide open year if it weren’t for them and that would’ve been so exciting Says the fan of a team that started pre-season #1. Lol |

So where does this rank NE next week? Loss at home to #9 Stanford but sweeps at #13 Kentucky the same week #3 Louisville goes to 5 sets with Kentucky. Just outside top 10 for me. This win doesn’t tell me as much about Nebraska as it does about Kentucky tbh. lol you are letting your bias impact you too much if you don’t have Nebraska in your top 10. Hate them all you want-that’s fine. But outside top 10? C’mon man.. |
