After seeing this latest poll discussion back and forth I now know why Nebraska's game day theads are so long. đ Certain Nebraska fans are incapable of objective thought and think that any post that isnât âGBRâ is just âhating on Americaâs teamâ lol. I never even said Iâd rank the Huskers outside the top ten. I just donât think itâs absurd to do so, based on resumes. It kinda would be, you may not be crazy about their resume. But itâs relative to everyone else. Are there 10 better??

I've been the lowest Nebraska voter for the last three weeks and haven't gotten there. I don't see ten resumes better than Nebraska's.

Texas, San Diego, Stanford, Louisville, Ohio State, Penn State, and Arkansas have better resumes at this point. I think Nebraska is in the next group with Wisconsin, Florida, Pepperdine, Minnesota, and Baylor. I didn't submit a ranking this week, but Pepp would be the biggest challenge for me.
Add in Nebraska's setter situation, and I think ~10 is completely justifiable. Super quickly, I'd probably have them around 9.

I think ranking them in the top 5 is way more absurd than outside of the top 10. What's the case for top 5? "Talent" and "potential" lol? Do we just ignore Hames's injury?

Their setter situation? What does that have to do with their résumé? Your record is your record.

If I'm deciding between a few resumes, I'll absolutely take into account a recent injury with regards to how I rank teams. I'll take you moving the target away from the list I took time to compile (which was a direct answer to your question) as a concession you have no desire to chat objectively here.

Agreeing with the schools Donut has listed, for the most part; here is how I view Nebraskaâs record: theyâve beaten Creighton (good), Kentucky (sure), and then a bunch of duds while not totally looking great consistently. If theyâd had a San Diego or Ohio State type pre/season schedule, Iâm not convinced their record would be that good. They have the chance to prove it during conference, and itâs not much more complicated than that.

Again, the poll is based on their results, so how does the injury get used against them outside of their actual results without her? Wouldnât a win vs Kentucky on the road with a key player injured be a positive? You seem to be ranking in futures as Much as actual results. For the record I never defended Nebraska in the slightest way, just asked why 9-10 teams would be ranked ahead of them. My point is that saying a team isnât a âtop tenâ in part because a player is injured doesnât make any sense to me. I do understand people rank teams in all different ways. Itâs all good, Iâve got no beef with you and could care less where Nebraska is ranked.
