Pre-match news:
I'll try and post the rosters here tomorrow...may be traveling for work, but I should be able to if they both post them to their respective social media pages.

Hard to know how this one goes as far as sets won, but I do expect Arizona to win. From what I saw when these two teams met in spring, ASU still has big passing questions. Arizona handled them fairly easily in McKale. I didn't get to see the two teams play at Desert Financial.
Arizona swept ASU in Tucson last year and beat them in 5 in Tempe. Going back to 2008, ASU has only won in Tucson once. That was in 2019--the year of concussions for the Wildcats. Makenna Martin, who had been the libero before Kamaile Hiapo came to Arizona, actually played as a pin for the last several games of that season (including this game) because of the injuries on Arizona. Arizona appeared to have won that match, but ASU challenged match point and it was overturned. Sun Devils went on to take it a few points later.
So, do I think ASU wins this? Let's just say it would be a historical anomaly for them to do so in Tucson, especially against a healthy Wildcat team. In fact, going back to that 2008 season (Arizona's history page is weird after that year so I'm stopping there), ASU has only defeated Arizona 9 times in 28 matches regardless of where the game was held.
I will talk to Rubio tomorrow, so I probably won't have a preview up until early Wednesday morning.

This literally just depends on how the pins are playing that day for each team. Completely unpredictable. Either team can win, but maybe slightly favoring AZ due to being a home game for them.

4-5 of the streakiest pins in the country walk into a gymโฆ
no punch line yet. I think this is going 5 in the most dramatic and chaotic fashion yet.

Talked to Rubio, Emery Herman and Kamaile Hiapo yesterday. Rubio was in a very talkative mood. The preview includes some discussion of depth on Arizona then his take on each of the teams they will face this week.

ASU looked good, kinda underwhelmed by Arizonas non conference schedule now that I'm looking at it The conference needed a couple more bottom tier teams to schedule so they could get Arizona's non-conf W/L record, but they didn't. It's unfortunate and very well could cost the PAC 1-2 seeds/at-large bids.
