Oregon's defense vs. Stanford's offense. Looking forward to this one. Either way it is not a bad loss for either, but a great win for the other. Go Ducks!

Which game is this for? a mix of Cal and Oregon info Oregon, like it says in the title and the poll. As it says at the top of the OP "I'm still working on this. \A lot of stuff is wrong, Date and time should be correct"
It should also be easy to check the schedule. There are links for both the Oregon and Stanford schedules.

THANKS baytree for everything you do...creating umpteen match threads for VT...and for VB in general

When I got the Stanford-Berkeley match up and immediately saw that Francis was out I thought, "there goes any chance in the UO match." Happily, it was precautionary: she will be there. It oughta be tight!

Okay all you 'real' SU fans (and quackers): let's get some buzz going about a great early season match. PS: I found this on page 3 of the board menu; often find the "Future" thread anywhere from p.5-7. So the hallmark of genuine fandom...in the eyes of one poster who could be kinder...is seemingly a low bar.

It oughta be tight! One thing is clear, Stanford will need to up their game on Sunday. What I witnessed at Haas on Wednesday night is far short of what is needed to beat an opponent as good as the Ducks on their home floor. Looking at stats for the season, Stanford's blocking a lot more balls than the Ducks, but the Ducks are digging at a much higher clip. The transition game favors the Ducks so Miner better get those sets to Kipp located properly so she can be extra lethal. Some of the wildcards for the Card are Baird's play and their up and down serving.

Oregon’s serve receive has been up and down and off from the level it’s been the past couple of years. Stanford has the serving to punish that - or to let us off the hook entirely. I like the Ducks in system, but we’re going to have a tough time with Stanford’s block OOS.

I like the Ducks in system, but we’re going to have a tough time with Stanford’s block OOS. Stanford can punish if they get their serve in enough. On the road they are averaging somewhere between 4 and 5 SEs per set. Typically the pattern is one good set of (say) 2 SEs, and the others are 5+. That's plenty of free points. Stanford is also very strong in SEs out of a TO. They might lead the nation in that category.

In Sami's absence, Annabelle Smith performed at her steady-if-not-spectacular level. Glad to have her.
