History time:
Over the 1990s, Oregon went 0-20 against Stanford, and WON ONLY 1 SET Over the 2000s, Oregon went 1-19 against Stanford, and won only 8 sets Over the 2010s, Oregon went 1-18 against Stanford, and won only 12 sets
So far in 2020s, Oregon is 3-0 against Stanford and is 9-2 in sets.
This doesn't even count the COVID year - Stanford cancelled on Oregon) and Oregon would have been heavily, heavily favored to take both of those.
I credit Brooke.

I think he needs to ask the team to serve tough but making them in. Serving errors kill the momentum and give points for free. You can serve tough but ace-error isn't rewarding for Stanford.

Students are back on campus (school starts Monday), hope it means a nice crowd! Loved the crowd, the energy in the gym was electric. Good showing from the Oregon Students!

I originally voted for an OR sweep, then changed it to a 3-1 OR win; I should've stuck with my gut.

What in the world did they reverse? I went back and watched the play since I'd missed it. The line judge had signaled "touch" which means he saw the ball as landing out after a touch on the block. So the challenge was about the touch call, which resulted in the reversal. If Oregon had thought the ball was in, they could have cross-challenged after the reversal. Her signal after the play was “out”, Ulmer asked the ref, but it was in, she said no, it was out. 😩

They literally did NOTHING well. And I've seen junior high girls with more fight. Does anyone on the team even care?? Hambly? Anyone??

I didn't watch the match; but judging by the stats: Stanford played pretty well. Oregon had more aces, and fewer service errors. And ok, Oregon had more blocks, more digs, and hit for a much higher percentage. But other than that, the Card played really well.

After watching Stanford lose the second I knew they would be a dud in the third. High ceiling low floor for this team yikes. At least it will be interesting to see what to expect from them.
Great win for Oregon their floor D was better and Nuneviller is such a treat to watch she’s just so dynamic, fast to the ball with great instincts.

Nice win but Stanford is going to roll through Pac 12 play. I guess I was dead wrong.

More aces versus errors talk.
Literally the worst metric for performance in all of volleyball.
