Oregon has now won 7 straight sets against Stanford. We'd never won back-to-back before, so it was already a record going in, but I'm pretty sure there were DECADES in this rivalry where we didn't get to 7 sets won. Like, before last year the history was something like 54-6 (i'll have to look it up after the match). 63-6, but Oregon has won the last two. And soon to be three |

I went back and watched the play since I'd missed it. The line judge had signaled "touch" which means he saw the ball land out after a touch on the block. So the challenge was about the touch call, which resulted in the reversal. If Oregon had thought the ball was in, they could have cross-challenged after the reversal. They’re supposed to look at the whole play. Touch and in/out are bundled, I believe. Ah, well, if that's the case then I guess the R2 also saw the ball out on review. |

The freshman year for the Inky/Burgess/Bugg/Howard class. I think they were like the #2 seed when Michigan upset them so I assume pretty good lol They were good. Won the PAC. Oregon didn't beat them that year - Oregon had them on the ropes in Palo Alto, were up something like 9-4 in the 5th then lost. Got SUPERHYPED for the rematch in Eugene, but then got upset by Cal the night before in a trap match and it kind of fizzled out. They had even beat Stanford in 2011 the year before - Liz Brenner's freshman year when she put down like 30 kills hitting .500-something. |

That 2012 Oregon team is one of my fav of all time. They really said "let's see what happens if we run audibles in volleyball".
