Wow. I have watched SO much vball and have legit never seen the 8-sec violation. Crazy thing is that it took 12.2 seconds before an 8-second would would be called! It really did feel like an eternity. I was thinking, “Did she not hear the whistle? What’s going on?” Based on her post match interview, she might have chosen to “surrender the outcome” of that serve. |

This year has kinda been just as frustrating at times as last year. The difference is we're winning games we weren't last year. I'm just gonna strap in extra tight and go along for the ride lol (although I fear for the health of the older couple sitting next to me tonight. Poor guy is NOT going to make it through the year with many more games like tonight lmao).

I think I need to re watch the game because I didn’t think it was ugly as the match thread would suggest. That could just be the fan in me that was so tense I couldn’t think straight. Thought floor defense was great for OSU, scrappy plays keeping them alive.

This. She is notorious for not using them, letting the team work it out, etc. I think she just likes to keep up the pace of play, and I’m always for that. She really didn't want to interrupt Podraza's flow or Londot and Gonzales' great rhythm hitting into the meat of the block. |

seems like a great deal of the taller highly touted 6’0> ish setters are flopping, from shook, to orr, shaffmaster too, what’s in the water? (I think Orr just needs time though) Orrrrr just kids who are highly touted and then a little sketchy on the mental aspect because they aren't used to struggling or losing. Look ... no one thought Shaffmaster was a mastermind setter. She was recruited when she was 13 years old because she was a giant physically and you take that risk sometimes. Orr had an injury yes? I am not being obtuse here, but from what I understand she had some sort of injury and, IMHO, seems to be struggling to get her head right. |
