Good for NW. They played like a tournament team tonight. I think they may be. Would be good to see.

I was half hoping for Megan Miller to go 2019 serving cyborg and win the fifth set by herself.

Is Minnesota the first team since 07/08 Stanford to have two #1 recruits on the left? Probably. Did Bricio and Jupiter ever start together? But Stanford had probably a much better setter (Kehoe) at the time? No, and also Bricio wasn't ranked and Jupiter wasn't a #1.

Well, you need all players on the floor on the same page and Minnesota just doesn't have that. It appears so many times you are watching individual players who, by the way, are all over the court. It shouldn't be that way. They lack control and there is just so much chaos in their playing.
Unfortunately, Hugh still doesn't have his 6-8 players to take us to the Championship game. I am sure both on and off the court this team gets along.....they just don't play unified volleyball. Really really really hard to watch with the outstanding ability of our pins.

I’m hoping there are folks either at the match or watching who will be posting their thoughts—we’re out of town and stupid BTN doesn’t allow you to watch broadcast matches via bigtenplus.com, either the app or in browser. 🤬 Did you try logging in to Fox Sports app using your cable provider? I did eventually—thanks!

Honestly I really think it’s mostly because MN makes every team they play look like the best passing team in the country. Year after year lollipop serving kills them. This doesn't make sense at all. NW hit 0.160. Even if our serving isn't strong, no one was scoring FBSO tonight. I don’t have passing stats but I’d confidently say NW outpassed us tonight. It throws off the block and defense when a team is consistently in system. NW made a lot of self inflicted errors tonight but they reined it in for sets 4 and 5.

As an aside, having Pedro Mendes and Shane Davis in the same gym should be illegal.

Good for NW, but this was yet another MN disappointment. 1. MN middles are SLOW on D and that's why I'd like to see more Carter. 2. Shaff is not operating consistently like NW's setter did. 3. MN hustled but their on-court smarts are lacking. 4. NW is good and will have more upset wins. 5. MN will lose 8 Big 10 games this year.
