Podraza looked bad in this match under setting her hitters and putting them in a bad place. Londot got frustrated and seemed to let it affect her game. Gonzalez had the best match of the season for her she was just so clutch and took smart swings. I’ve never been too impressed with Murr but she really showed out tonight. Ohio State is tough. Rader was her usual self.
Michigan looked good for stretches and I really appreciated the way they competed in the 4th even after the lead ballooned but they couldn’t close. Mruzik seemed to have only one speed swing hard I wish she would take smarter shots. The middles were good. I appreciate a 5-2 cause so few teams run it and I think more should. Michigan can surprise plenty of teams.

Huge blocks from Boney and May helped the squad stay in it, but Jess Robinson’s block was not there tonight. She had some great kills though. Hannah Grant also keeping everything up and hustling so hard gave Blue the opportunities. Proud of this team for fighting hard 💙💛

She’s gotta start playing smarter and becoming a more dynamic hitter like she had been to start the year. And she should ditch the serve, it’s not working for her. Murr and Sarah Sue were brilliant tonight. So were Gabby and Rader (per usual). I’d like to see Gabby bring it against some top opponents. For Michigan, Murray did not impress me. Lots of tentative and miss timed swings. Mruzik did all she could but was asked to shoulder too big of a workload. They’ve gotta figure out that block of theirs, but I see the potential there for a team that can surprise and sneak into the Sweet 16 this year. |

Michigan has improved a lot this year. I see them, Illinois, and Northwestern seriously challenging and knocking off several of the top tier teams this year

Nice win for the Buckeyes. I still wish they could have executed their serving just a bit better in Lincoln.
