Sweet Baby Jesus in a Manger, this is an ugly match. The play, the camera work, the announcing. All of it. It’s painful! I’m seriously considering doing laundry instead. The term that keeps coming to mind is “discombobulated.” |

I get that these sets have a lot of spin, and I get officiating with consistency, but there have been so, so many doubles in this match. Not only do I think it's disruptive to the flow of the game, but those calls really get into a setter's mind almost to the point of interference. just sayin'

I thought there was a change in the rules about the second contact this year. Something like if the ball doesn't go over the net they were going to be more relaxed in calling a double. Did I dream that?

At what point does the ref treat this like a juniors match and let it all go? Maybe unfair to Maryland because they are doubling less. (Nebraska hitting crappy so it’s not like hitters are killing those sets anyway) |
