on the point prior to match point, Purdue's player tried to overhead dig the ball when her teammate was in the perfect position right behind her to make the play...would have been a dig & transition opportunity. then they get aced and game over. To be fair, the player was Colvin, a middle who isn't playing right back defense for 5 out of 6 rotations. |

I’m saying it now - as good as GG serve has been it’s getting better - a lot more pace and still a funky moving left handed serve I missed the very end. Is there a special jump for a GG Ace to win the match? 😂 |

Love to see the fight in this team to close it out. Thatz a big win for the Badgers against a good Purdue team on the road.
But 16 service errors is a bit scary.

Going way back to the demps conversation; it didn't come up tonight (though I'm going to have to look at why it didn't come up in the 4th set!) but when Smrek and Robinson are the two opposites in the 6-2, and you get to the end of a set and run out of subs, Demps is going to be the one to come in and play the "six rotation opposite" for the extra points, because you don't want either of the others to try playing back row. Had she subbing in for Franklin in that first ste, she would no longer have been available for the late opposite sub role, |

Terrible first set.
Switched middles, switched RSs.
CC came in and handled the short serves,
Defensively just were really good after the first set
Lots of SEs, but Colvin rarely got the ball after high HE early on.
Orzol was flexing.
Franklin sleep walked first set, but she really got her feet to the ball and made a difference late on.
