Only caught the last 10 points but the setting… amazing digs by Grant bump set over the tape? Going to the right side 3 times in a row when Mruzik is ready to hit? Double contact? Dowd yikes. And WHY do we have a serving specialist who does a flat foot float into the tape? Yikes again.

I like this Michigan team they have a lot of good parts.. but they do not have enough parts to be running this 6-2.. the upgraded right side block is def a plus but their most effective offense out of the right side came from their middles on the slide (just eyeballing not looking at the stats) and it just doesn’t seem worth it..

Orzol kill. 25-22 UW. 3-1 UW. Good win, Badgers. Inconsistent but saw good things! Set those middles. Still too many errors. Hitting errors, blocking errors, service errors. You can't give good teams this many points.

dowd come on not another double... and not a single set to mruzik too many sets to the right side down the stretch for Michigan, it’s not like she was terminating either And the sets to the right side were too far off the net, with the hitter reaching back behind her head each time....until the double. THAT one was going in front of the hitter. Haha But up until then, great effort by Michigan. Great defense.

Just home from the Field House, haven't read through the comments.
Michigan played well, made it way too 'interesting'.
With the 6-2 and serving subs, things got interesting for the Wisconsin lineup. At the end of the first set, for set point, the Wisconsin BACK row was Franklin and Demps, with Crawford serving. I'm nominating that for the tallest back row in NCAA history. :-)
At the end of the third set, with one sub remaining, instead of using it to get Demps subbed in for Smrek, Sheffield chose to use it to try to have Gregorski serve set point. Obviously, she didn't succeed. And that meant we were two UW sideout rotations away from seeing Smrek play back row, and Gregorski at the left pin. That would have been fun, but we didn't survive long enough to see that.

I’m proud that the team battled back from a match point in S3 to take it to 4. It just felt so in reach to take it to 5 with how well our defense was playing.

I heard it on the TV. Orzol's 'yip' on her first backrow attack. Pretty loud to me. I noticed them setting up "floor" microphones at the corners of the playing surface. Maybe I'm oblivious (odds are good) but I don't remember seeing them before.

I do not hear it. But it's maybe because the loudspeaker music has gotten louder and worse.

They have mics set up for big football games that you don’t always see versus the Directional State U non-conference games.

Anyone know the purpose of the carabiner on the net by the ref stand? I don't know if TV showed this, but during a timeout, a team assistant named Molly (I forget, Pistone?) came over to the down official, spoke to him for a moment, then walked across to to the up official, talked to him for a moment, and then reached up and removed a string/rope attached to a carabiner. I've been to a couple of the open practices they hold prior to NCAA matches, and Wisconsin will run that string/rope across the court about a ball's diameter above the top of the net for serving practice; the goal being to put your serve over the net but under that rope. I don't know if they did a serve-and-pass this morning, with a noon match time, or if it was left there since yesterday, but that's what it was. Ooops! LOL

Hey...random question...I didn't go back to the beginning of the thread to check if this has been mentioned: Since when can you wear a bandana on your head for a volleyball match? (I thought it was supposed to be a part of the uniform...but Robinson has one on today.) How would it be substantially different than a bow?

I am rewatching the game. Set 1 @2-3 , super loud indeed.
