I'll respond not to argue, but because I really want someone who knows to give an answer: So you think players can wear hats, doo rags, visors, anything they want on their heads now...and it's equal to a headband or bow in the hair? Hmmmmm.
I have NEVER seen a player wear a bandana before, so I am curious what uniform requirements are. They didn't used to be able to wear jewelry, if I recall correctly. What say you?
Illinois-Chicago has a girl - from Egypt - who wear a hijab during matches. Allowing 'this' but not 'that; can get you in a hurry to a place you didn't want to go. Got it. (I am not arguing...I am asking) So do teams make their own rules? The Big Ten? The NCAA? Mom and Dad? Who makes the rules about what can be worn on the court?

The NCAA rules say it is illegal for any equipment that could present a danger or be an unfair advantage. Head or sweatbands are acceptable. It's covered. Just because it has a bandana pattern doesn't exclude it from being a headband or sweatband.
Personally I liked it and thought it looked bada$$.
Orzol's earrings are probably more dangerous.
