I only saw the very end, as I said, so I don’t want to be overly critical. I’m proud that the team battled back from a match point in S3 to take it to 4. It just felt so in reach to take it to 5 with how well our defense was playing. They had opportunities in Set 1 also but just couldn't close. Rosen made some interesting tweaks this week. We need our setters to be better in tight sets late.

I do not hear it. But it's maybe because the loudspeaker music has gotten louder and worse. She's, what?, twenty feet away from me serving, and I hear nothing. Like I said, oblivious.

Set 1 @2-3 , super loud indeed. I haven’t put earplugs in during a match since I was sitting 20-25 feet away from the band, last year. I had some extras in a bag that I brought for my daughters, so I put some in. It was pretty loud today.

Earplugs have been my steady go to since 2016 when I was in Columbus for FF (to block out the Nebraska pig calls). Much less stressful. It's not actually the crowd noise (other than pig calls) that bothers me, it's the music volume. I like to be able to talk to people during warmups. I guess I am only in that sentiment. Not that I don't want music, but maybe, slightly lower volume. When the band plays it's a relief!

Nice to get the win. I hope the Badgers can cut down on the errors.

I can handle the music. The dynamic range of most recorded music these days is pretty limited. The dynamic range of a band playing live instruments is only limited by how loud the instruments can get. It’s the drums that hit my ears the hardest.

The announcer throwing shade at the Packer game was great! Any thoughts about the volleyball game? It was a fun match.

Do they change up the music selections each week? I remember Party in the USA, and University standards Sweet Caroline, and BMUB at the Kohl Center game. They played more but I cannot remember the selections

Hart with 9 swings and the OH's with ~50 each. Some of those BR sets have to go middle.

I am rewatching the game. Set 1 @2-3 , super loud indeed.
OK, if I know to listen for it, I can hear that one. But live at that particular moment, I was maybe 30 to 40 feet away from her, and I didn't notice a thing. Concentrating on other things, I guess. I'll try to remember to listen for it Friday vs Mich State.

Hey...random question...I didn't go back to the beginning of the thread to check if this has been mentioned: Since when can you wear a bandana on your head for a volleyball match? (I thought it was supposed to be a part of the uniform...but Robinson has one on today.) How would it be substantially different than a bow? I'll respond not to argue, but because I really want someone who knows to give an answer: So you think players can wear hats, doo rags, visors, anything they want on their heads now...and it's equal to a headband or bow in the hair? Hmmmmm.
I have NEVER seen a player wear a bandana before, so I am curious what uniform requirements are. They didn't used to be able to wear jewelry, if I recall correctly. What say you?

Illinois-Chicago has a girl - from Egypt - who wear a hijab during matches. Allowing 'this' but not 'that; can get you in a hurry to a place you didn't want to go.
