I love Turkey, but don't tell me that it's the land of human rights, lol. its decidedly not but theres almost no racial abuse of players. And could talk about the Kurds. But I'm done. This things just disgust me. Back to VB.

Sorry I should have been more specific, I hope I didn't offend Turkish people. I just wanted to underline the fact that Paola will continue to feel oppression, maybe not as much as in Italy but she will have rules to obey. For example, if she were in Eczaci or Fener; she wouldn't have to. But she is in Vakif and that is why I felt bad. She seems to be a free spirit and idk if she knew this side of Vakif. vakif negotiated with her for quite a long time before she finally signed. Im sure she knew what she was getting into.

imagine being more mad at the victim of racism than the actual racists. They’re millions of black girls, minorities and lgbt that need positive role models like her. Walking away paints a grim picture for those said girls future. I don’t like the message it send to them. Twist it however you like.

As long as she doesn't kiss a girl in street, she won't feel any discrimination or oppression in istanbul.

Poulter to everybody right now:
Honestly, I feel bad for Poulter. She's been getting SH*TTED on by volleytalkers all tourney. Only for Carlini to get a start in the Bronze match and get SWEPT. And swept bad... People don't realize Poulters worth until we look like the way we played today. Lol that is comical. We don’t get to the bronze medal match without Carlini saving the day against Thailand

"...the regret that remains. It's great to be able to share that with the girls especially because of the path we've been on since I've been on the national team..."
[The reporter talks about the many awards she has won in the past].
"But that for me is a secondary thing if not even less. I'm still proud because my [teammates] are always there and without them I would never be anyone so I still know I'm thankful that I have them who understand me who support me and who understand that anyway I'm as a kid and I'm young bring me my moments too
But we can ask the person who said that.
Question: So you will continue to play on the national team?
Answer: It is not known. For now I'm happy to have won this [final] World Cup. Next summer we'll see."

Europeans using Kurds as a scapegoat for their racism should indeed not happen, literally all of Turkey is mixed up, that was the point of the Ottoman Empire, there were literally no ethnicities only religions, I'm part Kurdish as well and it disgusts me how we are always used by people that couldn't give two %*$#s about us just to hate on Turkey. Both Anatolian Turks and Anatolian Kurds are (mostly) Anatolian native people aka not a different race anyway, that's not racism but indeed discrimination has happened severely in the past, this is why I said racism is close to being non-existent but ethnic clashes have and had been happening. Though today the Kurdish problem is not really prevalent anymore as everyone mixed up a long time ago and Kurds are everywhere like any other ethnic group in Turkey (there are many actually) anyway back to vb indeed

Poulter didn't have a very good tournament herself?! Do you remember that the last two games she started we got into a 2-0 deficit and the only game of the two we won was Carlini in relief. But USA got wrecked today, just embarrassing. Also I think we could have maybe have won that Serbia game if Karch didnt do a dub sub put carlini and cuttino in just for them to get us into a 4 point deficit when it was even in set one and two. Karch has not helped the situation in my estimation. Poulter 2.0 isn't good enough and neither is Carlini. Going into today's match it is not unreasonable to think that Carlini based on the majority of her play this tournament would be a solid starting choice. What I think people should be more upset at is Karch not making a substitution at setter in today's match after 2nd set. He would rather prove a point than win a medal game.

changing governments doesnt change the people though….and this type of thing comes from a small number of people, not the established mainstream majority of any country. So this isnt really that relevant. Also vakifbank allegedly has questionable financial ties to the current government, which is very invested in sport. Yep but like I said, it's not prevalent to have this white supremacy ingrained in our system like many European nations or North America. Thus Turkish people will only be ignorant about black people at most because there aren't many in Turkey anymore, but most will simply admire them a lot for their game. Also in italy it's also the media, when Italy won Ech, the Italian newspapers cut Egonu and Sylla out of the team photo. And someone said earlier that the hosts made a remark and compared Egonu to a certain animal which I'm not going into detail about. Again just unthinkable things in Turkey. VB has ties with the government indeed, but the government are conservative religious people, not racist, I hate them but they don't target black people no. It's maybe not the best place to be gay but then again Ebrar thrived under VB lmao, they are more the don't be slutty in our face types of people (VB not the government) and again they will die off next year. The one in the photo is fake. It was Egonu and Ortolani and they were covered by a bottle in a advertising photo.

Idk seems way too convenient it always happens to the black player over there to me for comfort. (I don't buy it aka)

Yes, better back to VB.
