I’d like to be sedated during this. Any suggestions? Sing "hey oh, let's go" over and over again?

I’m gonna say Huskers in 4.
I think Roddy and Kubik having the advantage over Wisc libero and Franklin will be the difference. I also think Hames back has lit a fire in this team. But I guess we will see. Should be a good atmosphere.

Both very good. But Nebraska is rolling hot right now. And more importantly, they have the best back row in collegiate volleyball right now. As usual.
Which seriously begs the question: Why haven't the other coaches in D1 figured out the Nebraska formula for sustained success... Back Row Excellence? First touch passes rule!

IMO, Nebraskas formula is about as predictable of a formula in college volleyball as there is. They don’t change it. You know exactly what they’re going to do. It’s just a matter of if you can stop it. The 6-2 has definitely switched things up this year and made the attack more diversified and the block stronger, but Cook’s teams are usually built the exact same way year in and year out. There’s just a high talent level that a lot of other teams can’t match. Wednesday night? It can be matched.

Slowing them down offensively is a far easier chore than putting balls down.

Color hex codes bring me RIGHT back to my HTML days... ahhh, the MySpace skin -- can't live with em, can't live without em. Without googling, can you tell me which is which? It’s totally cheating because I googled, but still. I think the D0's is the darker red since it's a more generally used color and those usually have simple tags, but I am probably wrong.

I honestly think it's still too early for the badgers to win this match. The setters keep improving, but they have a ways to go. Connections never seem to be on for the whole offense. They have a hard time maintaining ball control through extended rallies, though they are improving on that front. As we saw today, the badgers can get into extended funks. They are better at pulling out of them, and they can go to the bench to help, but it's still a problem. Franklin had to get subbed today for Demps. Luckily for them it worked.
That said, I'm not sure the huskers have faced a team quite like the badgers yet. If the badgers can keep their passing together, and the setting is decent, they are a tough proposition. The block takes a while to figure out an opponent, but usually manages it after the first set after which is really quite imposing. The serving as usual can be very difficult to handle.

The badgers were not really very good at all to start the season. It helps that Hames is there and provides some stability and experience at setter.

I expect this match to be sold out! GBR! This was sold out within an hour of single match tickets going on sale back in August. I'm sure there are or will be some tickets for sale on StubHub etc, but it is certainly sold out.

Nebraska in 3 one set will be close Pretty good prediction. I'd like to be wrong. That dominance by Minnesota still haunts. Kentucky is turning into sort of ordinary, Florida got upset, Baylor is just solid. Purdue's train went off the tracks. So unless the Badgers play perfect ball this could be ugly. How many straight has it been for the Badgers? The Badgers won 8 in a row. And was something seven in a row against Minnesota. It would be a huge confidence booster for the Badgers, but I struggle to see a path.
