Is Kubik talking about the Field House playing space, or the visiting team locker room and facilities? I think she just wanted to see the match thread get over 20 pages before first serve lol

Literally since the basketball days I've never once heard it called cold. I have heard it described as a broiler, a hotbox, an oven, a furnace, and a steam room. Is Kubik talking about the Field House playing space, or the visiting team locker room and facilities? On the real - the only thing I can think of is that she has played at Wisconsin in late November twice and February during Covid year. Maybe she is referring to the day before warm ups or serve and pass when no one is in the building yet? I've never been so can't comment but seems like everyone has said its hot lol. That's my best guess.

We're going to need a match thread for this match thread.

I've never been there so not sure if this is true but she mentioned that the upper sections are in the dark so it gives a feel like a dungeon.

Is Kubik talking about the Field House playing space, or the visiting team locker room and facilities? oh, great question. I bet the latter. Not knowing the facilities, does that make sense? I thought about that. The Badgers locker room, etc., is on a level below the playing floor; a "basement" (that I've never seen or been to, etc), so I could see that maybe being cooler than the rest of the building. But the visitor locker isn't down there. It's right next to a men's restroom that I've been in a hundred times, in the northeast corner of the main 'playing floor' level. And it's no different than the rest of the building in terms of temperature. (When the visiting team is about to head to or from the locker room, they will 'rope off' a walkway, but otherwise the visiting team just comes and goes through the same walkway that the crowd uses to get to the restrooms or concession stands, etc.

That's my best guess. During the week before NCAA regionals, the four teams hold practiices open to the public. I've been in the Field House for those on three occasions; in December, pretty empty building. And I recall having to take off my sweatshirt so as to not be too warm while just watching.

You guys are making me question what an average Wednesday night for some of us is… My idea of a ‘drink’ is just a full sip ~1oz of beer. So let’s say 10 drinks per beer. So I would estimate for husker fans: Rematch mentions - 5 Streak - 5 Texas - 2 shots B1G graphic - 2 (6) Omaha - 3 (6) Cook - 3 Challenge - 1 3 beers and 2 shots in 2.5 hours. Enough to feel warm inside but not miss work tomorrow. If it goes 5… maybe a sick day. Also, please drive responsibly. No way Texas only gets mentioned twice. I see them getting mentioned a lot lol - I predict at least 6 times.

This brings up a great hypothetical question - is there a player you are hoping will be your kill leader? As in you think if they are the kill leader your team has a good shot to win?

Lmao why does it matter if Madi Kubik is or isn’t a fan of Wisconsin’s gym?
We sure are looking for ways to kill the time leading up to tonight’s match haha

Lmao why does it matter if Madi Kubik is or isn’t a fan of Wisconsin’s gym? Madi not liking the Wisconsin gym is a personal attack on every person who has ever clapped for the team. And a clear assault on their mothers and dogs as well. That’s why it matters.
