"We have a BINGO. And it's got extra zip on it! Well done Kelly!!"
TTA was in Madison over the weekend. Interesting... who sits? TTA / Orzol / Franklin? If they sit Orzoł, they're in for a world of hurt unless they run a 5-1 and save on some of those subs.

What in the world does Wisconsin need Temi for?! to be absolutely stacked. Sheffield seems to like that last year and they did pretty dang good lol. I mean why wouldn't they want her? he seems to be bought in to the 6-2 after losing Podraza and tta would make them better at OH which might be their weakest offensive position rn with orzol having one of the spots

I think gg will improve and one of tta or Franklin should be able to be decent right? ds whoever isnt as good in the backrow for the best ds. if they're both on the pins with Robinson and smrek always available on the right, they shouldn't have to worry too much about how they're gonna side out lol

Wisconsin without Temi IS stacked offensively! They weren't lacking in offense last season. They were lacking in PASSING or an absolute rockstar setter who can do something amazing with their bad passes. Temi isn't going to help them at all with their passing. Northwestern hid her as much as possible or hid her when they could. This isn't solving anything for them.

"Interesting... who sits? TTA / Orzol / Franklin?"
Offensive stats only, for comparison. Kills / Kills per set / Errors / Hitting % [taken from official team stats as posted by the team in question]
Sarah Franklin: 400 / 3.57 / 149 / .230 Julia Orzol: 281 / 2.44 / 102 / .204 TTA: 502 / 4.33 / 185 / .252
Sheffield wouldn't do this unless he had it all worked in terms of scheme, how to use Julia etc.

GG already had a poor passing season for a libero *with* Orzol out there helping her. I assume Sheffield is betting that the added offense will outweigh the disruptions in ball control. Personally, as good as Temi is, I'd still rather defend her on an OOS swing than try defending Robinson/Booth in system

But Nebraska also had incredible passers in Rodriguez and Kubik where there wasn't a huge concern if needed. Wisconsin doesn't have that luxury from a passing nor setting perspective. Also, who are you gonna sit? Franklin, who probably came to the program to be the Next Big Thing or TTA, who most likely didn't sign up to be doing the exact same thing she was doing at Northwestern -- playing 3 rotations.

Even a modest increase in ability to score out of system, which TTA can provide, can absolutely help Wisconsin improve upon it's already great 2022 season. Excluding the 1st month of play which included reinventing the offense and getting used to two different setters and integrating new players (Franklin, Crawford, the revolving door of ds's), Wisconsin lost one match. Like Stanford, heading into 2023, Wisconsin has issues at the margins, not its fundamentals, and at the margins, you go with better out of system attackers every day of the week. Not everyone is going to connect well with a new setter and it's not like Podraza is that great anyway, and inserting one better pin passer is pointless against upper level teams that can serve away from her.

Some of y’all acting like adding TTA to your roster is something that needs some deep thought. Don’t overthink it. OOS is WI’s biggest struggle from their lefts IMO. TTA is the queen of turning junk sets into kills. It’ll be fun to see her play for a competitive team.
