Some of y’all acting like adding TTA to your roster is something that needs some deep thought. Don’t overthink it. OOS is WI’s biggest struggle from their lefts IMO. TTA is the queen of turning junk sets into kills. It’ll be fun to see her play for a competitive team. Lefts in a 6-2 need to be able to do more than just bang big kills.

wasnt nebraska okay on subs most of the year running a 6-2 with a middle back ds? I think gg will improve and one of tta or Franklin should be able to be decent right? ds whoever isnt as good in the backrow for the best ds. if they're both on the pins with Robinson and smrek always available on the right, they shouldn't have to worry too much about how they're gonna side out lol Nebraska was okay at the beginning of sets with subs because (1) they'd sometimes start Knuckles front row and (2) they had a setter in Hames who has run a successful 5-1 that could play front row when they ran out of subs. But Nebraska also had incredible passers in Rodriguez and Kubik where there wasn't a huge concern if needed. Wisconsin doesn't have that luxury from a passing nor setting perspective. Also, who are you gonna sit? Franklin, who probably came to the program to be the Next Big Thing or TTA, who most likely didn't sign up to be doing the exact same thing she was doing at Northwestern -- playing 3 rotations. I get your point about TTA and 3 rotations but it could also be that the combo of academics and playing for WI, even 3 rotations, was enough.

to be absolutely stacked. Sheffield seems to like that last year and they did pretty dang good lol. I mean why wouldn't they want her? he seems to be bought in to the 6-2 after losing Podraza and tta would make them better at OH which might be their weakest offensive position rn with orzol having one of the spots how does that help? Wisconsin without Temi IS stacked offensively! im saying how does it not help. like she 100% gives them the opportunity to be better than they would be without her. she won't play if she wouldn't. but if she does earn a starting spot from a coaching staff that knows better than anyone here how to manage their talent, then it was clearly the right decision. like why not take her? thats all im saying

Well, no matter how much TTA ends up playing, it's a good thing academically that she's out of that hell-hole she was in, and on to a real school.

TTA makes every team good, but I don't think she's the missing piece Wisconsin needs. Willing to be proven wrong.

I dont know of any 6-ro outsides in the portal that would've been a better pickup for them? they dont need an MB or an OPP, clearly he wants to run a 6-2 again so dont need a setter really... and I think he's gonna let GG keep that spot so im unsure who the fit is for them? he lost a scholarship pin, so he brought in a new one

GG will be keeping her job.

I have a hard time believing that any elite coach would look at Wisconsin's passing grade from last year and choose any libero currently in the portal or a higher passing OH rather than an elite terminal hitter, 6-2 be damned.

I don't think the badgers take Orzol off the court even with TTA -- she is too important. I'm not even sure they can take her off for 3 rotations. By eye, she is one of those players that just makes the team play better.
One thing that might happen is that Orzol moves to a DS role for either Franklin or TTA, which allows her to attack from BR ala Knuckles. Sub problems there, but UW has dealt with those in the recent past. An even crazier idea - TTA plays as a back row attacker, ala Demps, with two passing in the back. Maybe TTA moves to the RS and displaces one of Smrek and Robinson, which then compete in the middle with CC and Booth. Alot depends on if they can trust her as a server. Maybe the badgers move back to a 5-1!
There are a lot of options. I don't think anyone has an idea at this point which works best.
