anyone know why everyone is leaving UCI? Two transfers one to Oregon and one to UCLA. I would think coach would do everything they could to keep them.

Maybe some of the girls want to experience postseason before they graduate. With Hawaii returning the entire team, it's unlikely UCI will taste post season next year either. Onye and Joy are good players but UCI is going to need a whole bunch of good players to not only compete with Hawaii but also UCSB and LBSU. |

To be fair, at least 5 players from UCI were in the transfer portal, though Onye and Joy were the biggest names to leave the program. However, the poster did only mention those two lol |

Any news on Milan Gomillion? I was just thinking about this yesterday. she follows a decent amount of the Minnesota players and a couple freshly graduated players too (kilkelly and gros). Not taking that as meaning anything but its the only thing I've noticed |

Totally agree that Gomillion is the missing piece of the puzzle for the Gophers.

Former Arizona WBB player and VB signee Lauren Ware is in the portal. Rumors have her linked to Nebraska WBB. I have no idea if she's still interested in VB. She played a spring tournament with Arizona in 2022 and Rubio really hoped she would give VB a try again. WBB coach Adia Barnes was pretty clear that she didn't want Ware playing VB. I don't know if Ware really didn't want to or if she made the decision because Barnes controlled her scholarship. She's not in a position to be needed by a VB program like Nebraska, but I have wondered if she might walk on and see what college volleyball is like when she chooses her new school. Wherever she ends up for WBB, I am very interested in what happens on the volleyball side of things.
