Kansas is like a pin or two away from being a contender. They just need some outside hitters to match their ball control and defense, honestly. A contender for what? Uhmm, a title like the rest. Look at San Diego, y’all all thought “what is blossom doing” when she announced she was transferring there & now look making history. It only takes a few key players. And Kansas’s weakness really were their left sides this season. |

That’s what they said. I think Caffey is getting some kind of graduate certificate as well. It wouldn’t surprise me if they weren’t enrolled in the spring. There are many graduate programs that only take a year. There aren’t any reputable graduate degrees you can earn in one semester that I’m aware of. Call me crazy, but I have a sneaky suspicion they didn’t come to Texas because of its reputable graduate programs. Although Texas does indeed have excellent graduate programs. To be honest, you don't even need to be a real graduate student to attend as a 5th year. It's definitely different as a grad transfer, since you're supposed to be claiming that you can't get your desired grad program at your original school. (Although, I am not sure grad transfer is even its own thing anymore; I have received conflicting information about that.) But, as you've noted several times, even if it is, the NCAA is basically enforcing nothing regarding transfers (or NIL), so there really are no rules. I know players in several programs at Arizona (softball, women's basketball, volleyball) who are "non-degree seeking graduate students." It's always been a classification at Arizona (I remember it when I worked for the University), but it's especially popular now with the COVID-19 5th years. You just take random grad classes to stay eligible. Because, y'know, college sports are all about the education... Grad transfer is still a thing. However a regular transfer is realistically the same thing now without the requirement that you must be entering a graduate program "that is not offered at your current school". Also as a regular transfer, the player could even take undergraduate courses instead of graduate courses. So I suspect many players that we think are "graduate transfers" have actually used the regular transfer route and thus will only be in school for the fall semester. So I agree with your statement. |

Well obviously not a contender for a natty or anything lmao. Just a contender in general, possibly a B12 championship or just a rise in the program like becoming a team that is constantly in the top 25 next season. That KU team was tough, but their outsides were just not it. Which is exactly why Luper would be huge. The fact that Kansas even almost pushed Nebraska to 5 in the second round says alot. They did not have the pins to compete, but they’re so gritty on defense, they found a way. |

I mean this now more than ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys must be looking at Gomillion? Possibly Carissa Barnes too. Anyone looking for a libero must be, they are probably the best in the Portal right now. Hiapo already committed to BYU, which I found surprisingly fast. There's some big opportunities for liberos right now, IMO She’s Mormon and her brother played there. I’m not sure if much a decision had to be made in her head. |
