Any guesses on where Luper is going? And whose spot she might be taking? It may be just me but it seems like this portal is way more defensive-oriented for some of the very top teams. idk but on lg live she said she wanted more from her new school like playing in final fours. This makes me laugh bc elan McCall posted something saying “to the people on VolleyTalk who think we are all miserable, sometimes it’s not always about winning” as Luper transfers because she wants to win more. I feel like it’s hard not to pick Texas as her likely landing spot, but IMO she would be a good fit at Pitt. They get a lot of transfers and they LOVE their undersized pins. Not sure if this is a factor for her but Pittsburgh is a lot colder than LA and Texas lol. |

Minnesota hired Keegan Cook from Washington as their new head coach I think now is when we start to find out if people leave Minnesota, now that a hire has been made. |

Alright. I stand corrected. I figured the post titled Keegan Cook is the new Minnesota coach was a pretty good clue. The funny thing is I’m now responsible for generating 3 superfluous posts when if I’d kept my trap shut there would only be the original one. I’ll probably never do that again. I guess I just saw the portal tea thread upon the site loading and clicked on that before reading the rest of the thread titles. I go straight for the tea around this time of the year. me too. I mean this now more than ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys must be looking at Gomillion? Possibly Carissa Barnes too. Anyone looking for a libero must be, they are probably the best in the Portal right now. Hiapo already committed to BYU, which I found surprisingly fast. There's some big opportunities for liberos right now, IMO Hiapo was always going to BYU if she left Arizona. BYU fans were silly during her regular 4 years in Tucson, sure she was leaving before she graduated. But she does have ties to the university because her brother played there and her religion is important to her. Rubio said that he thought he was able to get her out of high school by giving her a 4 year scholarship instead of making her wait for money like he usually does with liberos. |

Well obviously not a contender for a natty or anything lmao. Just a contender in general, possibly a B12 championship or just a rise in the program like becoming a team that is constantly in the top 25 next season. That KU team was tough, but their outsides were just not it. Kansas made the final four like 6 years ago. They are a pretty solid program Right, but I mean in terms of these last few seasons where they've gone 58-50 the last 4 years, certainly not a contender-like record. Add in a player like Luper and that could be a huge step in the right direction for a program like KU who like u said, made a final four 7 years ago. Not entirely the same, but similar to how Blossom took the "risk" (for lack of better words) to go to USD and look how much she's done for them. Now getting an elite setter is really going to change your season around more than a hitter, because the S position is obviously the most important role, but you take a look at KU and how great their setter is in my opinion, adding a player like Luper would be huge, not necessarily a Final Four team huge like USD, but they'd be a really good squad. |

Clearly the program is nowhere near that, alas not even getting a seed in this year's tournament. Which I think is BS and they should've, but that's beside the point. I also was born in 2003, I was 12 when they played in that final four, I apologize for not remembering |
