This to me is one of the tougher first round matches. Rice has a really good setter. They pushed Oregon to 5 I believe early in the season. COL will need to be firing on all cylinders.

Colorado is making their 21st NCAA tournament appearance and first since 2018. The Buffaloes are 57-67 (.460) in sets played, reaching the Sweet Sixteen in 1993,1994,1997 and 2017.
Rice is making their 8th NCAA tournament appearance and 5th straight. The Owls are 10-18 (.357) in sets played with one no contest in Spring 2021. They won their first round matches in 2019 and 2021.

If Colorado plays like they did the first 2.5 sets at home against Oregon a couple of weeks ago, they'll win convincingly. But, I don't think they can play that well away from home.
