Not sure if this has been discussed, but is Volpe to A&M a possibility? I know she's been at Rice for like two decades now Someone mentioned it. And that it would put her closer to her daughter who is somewhere in DFW. |

Which rice player was taken off the court? Is she back? She never left. Took a bad first swing after but has had a couple of solid swings yet. Will be interesting to see if she holds up over the match. |

Rice has plenty of money, but the athletic department doesn't. They did a good job of keeping their highly successful baseball coach for a long time. If they decide that's part of where they want to build their school's athletic identity around, they could do what it takes to keep her in terms of pay and support for her staff. But A&M has more more more. More resources. Higher profile conference. Bigger alumni base. Way higher ceiling. And she graduated from A&M. I've seen it discussed, but it just depends on what direction A&M wants to move in. It's ridiculous A&M doesn't have a stronger women's volleyball program, frankly. |
