Huff could actually be an awesome venue with a major architectural do-over... 3) Blow the roof totally off and replace with translucent dome letting in filtered light in daytime and skyview at night. Design ceiling with exposed colorful blue/orange ducting for air-effing-conditioning! And for Joshsakes get rid of the stupid pillars to provide unobstructed views everywhere. This kind of engineering has been possible for quite a while...in case the WW1 architects (possibly still entombed in Huff's walls) didn't know it then. Very creative! But don't lose the giant ceiling fans! |

I suspect the Huff renovation suggestions were tongue in cheek, but I wonder whether removing the roof, putting in a modern girder system, removing the posts, air conditioning the building, putting seating behind each end line and building a modern workout and locker facility in vacated offices or adjacent to the building could be less expensive than building a new building somewhere else. I somehow doubt it, but it is worth thinking about. Sounds like a good Honors project for a team of engineering students.

Bump cause we need something to talk about , Anna Dixon, Kaylee Cox from Mizzou in portal. The MB from UCLA in portal. Hoping we can grab 1-2 to shore up the OH/MB position. I think with Lily Barry coming in we should be good on the DS position. Excited to see what Dean & DeBoer bring to the team.

TTA seems like a longshot. I imagine she'd want to join a top 10 squad. Pairing up with Terry has to be intriguing though. Dixon seems to be the most likely transfer atm. She'd be a big boost for the team too.

Their coach was recently dismissed, which is likely why a few players have entered the portal this year. Not sure about Burbage. |

I hope she is out of the B1G, because the league is brutal enough already, but, if memory serves, she is a top student in a hard major, at Northwestern for undergrad, right? Illinois has really good grad programs, just saying! |

I think those who are transferring as undergraduates would want to take care of admissions early so they could play the second semester. The question is complicated for graduate transfers. Those who are transferring as having graduated may need the second semester to finish their undergraduate coursework. Most school require a certain number of hours at the school immediately preceding graduation in order to graduate. If they were graduated at the end of the current semester theoretically they could transfer into Illinois starting the second semester. I went to law school, beginning as a new student starting second semester was not an option, at least when I started law school, but that was 50 years ago so I really don't know. I also don't know about other graduate programs. I suppose they could take graduate level courses or courses needed before they could start their chosen graduate program. If they took a semester off could they practice with the team? Participate in open workouts not under the supervision of a coach?
