Beason from Florida in the portal. She’s a 6ro S/Opp. Can you imagine a 6-2 with her and Brooke with both playing all the way around?

I thought she was an OH/Opp? If that’s the case i would prefer her on the left pin to help Raina…there was a rumor floating that she was visiting a school in the MW, people speculated Illinois, others thought Wisky or Neb. Neither of those schools have a need for pins, please come to Champaign!

Her stats show her hitting, season high for sets was 3. She is listed on the roster as RS/OH. If she were to play at Illinois I assume she would be on the left side as Burbage showed potential at times on the right side. Do any of our redshirts show potential to contribute?

More entries in n the portal. Lots of good choices. This is sort of like going to the Buffett at Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Birdie Hendrickson from Floriday is the S/Opp that is also in the portal. I'm guessing that is who you are thinking of.

Depends on if the item is good enough and fits a persons taste or dietary needs. Plenty right now to go around. We have the spots & the scholies!

Transfer thread said our old MB Tyanna Omazic is trying to get a 7th year as a medical redshirt.

Tyanna sat out this season after playing a few games for mental health reasons. Hope she gets another year.

I feel for Tyanna, her journey took such a weird turn after she got hurt at Mizzou.
I always wonder what success she would have had if she stuck it out with Illinois….hope she get’s her final full season somewhere she’s happy.

Also worth mentioning, the Alfee news is not only great for Alfee and UCLA but also a great news for the Tamas hiring tree.
First Rashinda and now Alfee!

Since none of our three redshirt freshmen played in any public preseason scrimmages we're left to evaluate based entirely on pregame warmups. I wasn't able to pay close attention at all the Huff matches. That said, I do think there's potential for those three to contribute next season- they'll definitely have the opportunities. If Tamas runs a 6-2, I've thought that May showed some nice setting hands. Hopefully she'll be fully recovered from her lower body injury (was it a knee?) and have mobility. I didn't get much of a feel for Bohm or Stephenson based on the limited reps. If we get some spring matches this year, we'll get a better idea. With de Boer and Barry enrolling early, we'll get to see them in action, too.

Alfee has made an impact on all his players as a coach. I have been thinking for the past year hw would be a great head coach. Even some of our Illini players shared post about San Diego getting to the final four. He always leaves a lasting impression on most of these girl. Good for him, I think he is going to be a great coach and I think he was one main reason we got to the final four in 2018.
