Yes, just watch a post match interview with Robyn, then compare with Charlie Wade, there is a definite difference. She was always like that. They knew that even before they hired her. She was like that in college as well. Charlie Wade is made to talk in pressers he always was. Even I knew that and I am one of the younger ones on this board. I was in Elementary when Robyn was in college. If you ever talk with Coach Dave, he will tell you the same thing. Robyn lets her playing talk for her. Having Robyn play Setter caused her to become more vocal. Even to this day, she now lets her team do her talking for her, by the way they play. If you ever hear her talk to her players, she gets to the point in as very few words as possible. Even when it comes to her kids. I sat behind her a few times during women's basketball games, not saying much and to the point with her kids even. That is just the way Robyn is. But there is one thing I do know about Robyn, and Coach Dave knows this also, she is a winner, hates losing with a passion. That is what attracted Coach Dave to recruit her, besides her hands. Robyn will do anything within her power to be a winner. That is why I believe Robyn will bring a National Championship Title to Hawaii.

Hawaii gets a dream pin hitter transfer and the thread turns into a hot mess. Where's that high level Libero though?

Watching some clips of the Wahine matches, in Brazil, I am starting to wonder if Robyn is going to use Amber Igiede the way Dave Shoji used Teee Williams. Dave had Teee play all 6 rotations except for one rotation in the back row, to rest her. The idea was to confuse the opponent, not knowing where Teee was going to hit from.

We may only have 3 active middles on the roster so no. Amber will stay in the middle. We may run a 6-2 due to the sheer talent at the pins we have tho but that leads us to be short on depth too with only one riding the bench. Let’s hope we land that second transfer, which I believe is a pin as well

So with that in mind, it does not matter if Robyn only has 3 Middles on the team.

It will be tough to land another pin though. With the logjam, I’m not certain any established pin would want to come. If a freshman will to come and bide her time, she could be in line to play next season but with so much experience on the floor, that pin has got to be someone who is willing to wait her turn.
It will be tough to beat out our starting 3 pins of Wagoner, Alexander and Gursching. Hakas and Adeymi will come in with lofty expectations and be prime candidates to be the fourth attacker in the 6-2. At this late stage, anyone coming in will be at a disadvantage.

Tbh I really hope it’s not another pin. I think we’re fine there and we’ve yet to know for sure that Ham is also out. She would also be solid candidate for the 4th pin in a 6-2. Just judging off of clips but Alexander looks a lot more comfortable and clean,in a 5-1 she can continue to play left and if needed, Paula can take some serve receive pressure off her and vice versa. I think the fire of competition needs to be lit under Ikenaga and Edmonds and I like them both. It would just be nice to see that particular position (maybe setter as well) stand out more in terms of how their gameplay positively affects a match.

We could see Robyn using different lineups during the Pre-Conference season, giving everyone a chance to show what they can do. This is Robyn's deepest team so far. There is not much drop off when it comes to the Starting Unit, and the backups, like in previous Wahine teams under Robyn. The only 2 guarantees is Amber Igiede and Riley Wagoner being in the Starting Unit come Conference Season. All other positions are up for grabs.

A pin who can smash too, even better. Though I think a talented middle might be good in case of injury

Igiede could probably play decent back row defense, but I’m not sure she’s a versatile enough attacker to hit the D or attack OOS.

We had Akana, ross, sibley, Rasmussen, BVS, wagoner, hellvig With Tiffany if needed Much more depth Ah that’s right Akana was still making the middle to pin transition. Man so unfortunate that she didn’t play more pin in her prep years, it would have helped her out a lot
