USD dropped a set to WSU, and is coming off the relatively easy competition of the WCC, whereas Kentucky has had harder opponents and definitely been more battle tested. I really don't see how Kentucky loses this match. Kentucky 3-1

San Diego continues their Underestimate Us Tour! P P!nk is the opening act, so show up early. Massey has Kentucky the Fav. : UK 64% probability USD 36% . Oh. Well in that case cancel the match.

San Diego will win the first two sets 25-21 and 25-22 and then drop the third set 19-25 because San Diego cannot be bothered to win the third set before responding emphatically by putting the match away with a dominant 25-15 fourth set Sounds like Stanford. lol

TO BE FAIR: I am basing off like ONE or TWO matches I've seen of San Diego vs the tons I've seen of Kentucky and San Diego hasn't really impressed me... whereas I think Kentucky can really own the match with Taeler, Bell and Rutherford.

Wazzu finished 3rd in the Pac12. but after San Diego dropped that set they responded with a pretty convincing 4th set! edwards is really coming along more as the season goes on and I think their physicality at the net will be the difference maker against Kentucky

They may be inconsistent but when they aren't, they are a really good team so I'm edging on Kentucky to win this

I need San Diego to make their first Elite 8. This is gonna be their best chance in a long time to pull it off.

I think Kentucky has a higher ceiling than San Diego. And they've been playing consistently at a higher level lately. But San Diego is BY FAR a more consistent team.
I don't know the numbers, but watching San Diego this year, I wouldn't call them a super strong serving team, which benefits UK (because passing has ironically been the Cats' achilles heel). However, I think Skinner is going to serve extra tough to make Blossom's day harder, and when UK tries to serve tough, we've consistently had like 20 service errors.
This should be a great match -- these teams are more alike than they are different, IMO. Blossom v. Grome alone should be a reason for people to tune in.
