Can't wait to be back in the PAV, watching Gopher VB again. It's been far too long! I'm hoping there's popcorn doused in butter.

Huge crowd today! No chairbacks, but all other sections open. Sections 107-112 pretty much totally full save for the corners. Great sign for the program after the coaching change.
Lineup seems pretty much the same as Hawaii matches. Set 1:
Landfair/Wookie Davis/Minatee Shaff/Crowl

Passing is boogermania. Luckily we've got the pins to make up for it. Took the first set something like 25-17, up 18-14 in the second. Swapped Hanson in for Crowl. No other changes. Also, didn't mention Elise is serving sub for Calissa.

Very surprised at the crowd size
Monster is athletic and LOL (autocorrected Minatee HAH) looks comfortable for first collegiate experiences
Crowl played 6 rotations in 1st of 4 sets Looked confident and had a sweet D kill Hansen replaced her in 2nd
Both Wookie & TayLa look pretty sharp
MN got caught in a ro1 NDSU run. Only after a time out did I recognize the issue
MN takes 2nd set 25-19

Tons of club teams in attendance.

The attendance was amazing. Enjoyed watching both teams. NDSU had some good moments. Minn has some questions but still loaded with talent.

Agree with everyone here about the attendance- without the chairback seats open, the entire PAV was almost filled up. I arrived like 5 mins after 4pm and half of the lower section was almost full, it’s crazy! Maybe it was a 3000-3500 size crowd.
Some thoughts about the match: - Crowl really impressed me today. She hit the ball with so much power and confidence. - the serving pressure is like up 2-3 notches from past years. I really like Grey, Wookie, and Hanson serve. - coach KK worked extra with our setters. Mel looked very good and connected with the middles very well. Talking of middles, Minatee is impressive. She moved so well laterally and she was the slide hitter - Grey held on the libero position pretty well. She got more comfortable as the game went on - the coaches were so active at the sideline and the players seemed to have a blast - Landfair and Wookie were their usual selves. So glad to see both of them healthy
Feel free to add anything else I am missing.

Liked Minatee! Also, Skylar Grey and Lauren Crowl seemed better than last year. Our pins are awesome. It is really hard to judge the team as a whole in this match but kudos to North Dakota State for taking on the Gophers and playing hard.
I really don't like the 6-2. Shaffmaster is our best blocker and she should be in the front row. I think she is the better setter as well.

Did anybody else feel the Landfair and Shaff connection just wasn't there today for whatever reason? The same thing appeared to have happened in the Hawaii matches.

They were fine, for a spring match. There were times where Landfair just dominated, as well as Wucherer. Really liked what we got out of Minatee and Crowl. Hanson had some nice run in sets 3 and 4, as they were featuring her more. Davis brought some fire and had a few nice moments as well. Didn't see much from Schnickels, as she wasn't getting a lot of sets in her rotations. Thought it was a little odd, there didn't seem to be any calling of serves, but maybe that's just a function of a spring scrimmage.
