It was a fun match to watch and it's great to see growth and development happening. It was especially cool to see Crowl and Hanson looking like more seasoned versions of their High School and Club selves.

I thought Wucherer serve looked very good. She can hammer that ball. Even from the back court. Her sister was on the sidelines. Minatee looked very comfortable and seem to have a quickness about her on both the slide and blocking. I counted at least 6 or 7 blocks. (N D is a smaller team) For those people who like middle sets there were a lot. Landfair did not play the last two sets. She is still awesome. Keegan seemed a little nervous and surprised at the large crowd. One of the coaches was doing a version of the wave with the bench. Of all the players Minatee was the most surprising. Looking forward to seeing her play against a really good team on BIG10+.

Love hearing Minatee stood out and impressed a lot of you! with Booth gone it makes me feel a whole lot better having another strong freshman middle come in
If the AU match is played like they did against OSU last night, we’ll get to see a good mix up of players and teams which is kind of fun. Hoping Hentz plays libero for us at least one set so we can get a feel for how the team looks with a stronger libero and a ds (Gray)

Did anybody else feel the Landfair and Shaff connection just wasn't there today for whatever reason? The same thing appeared to have happened in the Hawaii matches. No, just you. They were fine, for a spring match. There were times where Landfair just dominated, as well as Wucherer. Really liked what we got out of Minatee and Crowl. Hanson had some nice run in sets 3 and 4, as they were featuring her more. Davis brought some fire and had a few nice moments as well. Didn't see much from Schnickels, as she wasn't getting a lot of sets in her rotations. Thought it was a little odd, there didn't seem to be any calling of serves, but maybe that's just a function of a spring scrimmage. I saw coach cook call several serves.

It wasn't very obvious like a regular game and I thought Kelsay would be handling serve calls.

Minnesota was/is in Turkey recruiting Most likely a libero Does Zehra have any eligibility? This explains why Eric Barber wasn't at the scrimmage yesterday. Probably safe to assume he was the one in Turkey.

Would be really nice to get a 2023 libero to DS with Murr this season. Get some mentorship and time to get used to the NCAA game especially if she’s used to international ball. Serve receive looks really good from the highlight video (granted it IS a highlight video haha) and she reads pretty well! Here’s to hoping 🤞

Pulling a Sheffield, I guess. Bring in a 5th year lib and recruit one from Turkey. Hopefully Murr hasn't contacted any agents about going pro. That's a wrinkle I can pass on.

I know Michigan State, WISC, Georgia Tech, Nebraska amoung many others that have been overseas recruiting recently. So yes, I would say it is now typical.

So yes, I would say it is now typical. I predict this is going to be fairly prevalent moving forward. One of the results of the new rules regarding when coaches can contact players is that foreign players now have a better opportunity to get recruited earlier. imo Before coaches focused on trying to snap up the top American players as early as possible. European players that were standouts obviously got looked at but someone like a Yadhira Anchante from Marquette went the JUCO route (Yeah I know, she's Peruvian not European, but I hope you get my point). It's just a theory, I could be wrong.
