let me understand since I don't look at players' instagrams or tweets... did she go in Instagram and make a post today, after the coaching announcement, about her league honors, and didn't say anything about Cook? If so, then that speaks volumes. Yes, all the other players reshared the post on the Cook hiring and some have since reshared memes about him/John Cook and some even shared his video of him tonight at the Pav. Only thing Jenna has shared is resharing GopherVb’s Instagram post about her all region honors from the Austin regional. That’s where a lot of the suspicions have been coming from, I think. But who knows she probably hasn’t even met the guy yet no need to jump to conclusions. that means, today anyway, she is out the door. of course she could change her mind after meeting KCook. It also might mean that Hugh told her at the after season debrief with each player that there wasn't any expectation or promises of starting, and nothing Keegan could say at this point would matter. Does that free up a Scholly?

Who “hires” the assistant coaches? Do the Houks automatically have jobs? Will Cook have a say over who he wants to have for assistant coaches? Not that this a big surprise, but neither of them have posted on their instragram either about Cook taking over. I know the Houks don’t post on their Instagram stories every day, but they usually re-post gopher volleyball posts.

DoVO is a university, rather than a coach-hired, position. Ditto with medical trainer, athletic/conditioning coach, etc.

Wenaas posted a thank you note to the Gopher staff including Hugh and the Houks.
“Special S/O to this staff!!! I’ve learned more than I thought possible in the past 3 seasons & I’m grateful for the constant support they provided.”

I do feel for the Houks and Pedro. If Keegan understandably decides to put together his own coaching staff, I’m sure Hugh will put in a good word for the 2022 staff in whatever they decide to pursue. Based on posts in other threads, it sounds like the Washington assistants are expected to stay in Seattle? Will be interesting to see which established or up and coming assistants Keegan has connections with.
I hope Nao has at least a few more years of DoVO in her. What a longtime staple in the Gopher program. Arrived from Illinois with Hebert as an AC before switching to DoVO.

As of right now the coaching staff is updated on the Gophersports site and the only change was Keegan as head coach, all of the assistants are the same… I hope they all stay and I don’t see Nao leaving in particular, she’s been there since 1996

While it would be nice to keep them around for continuity in recruiting, I would expect Cook to hire his own assistants. Pedro may be a wild card though.

Well if the assistant coaches are going to stay the same, and Wenaas said provideD (past tense), either she or the assistants are gone. I would imagine it’s her. She’s a true six rotation outside that has to play on the right. I’m not sure it even made sense for her to stay if Hugh stayed. Nothing against Minnesota, I love y’all’s program, I think there’s quite a few posts from me before the season in the old thread saying how much like enjoyed Hugh and the program. It just doesn’t make much sense (the same way I posted last night about Parra at texas should transfer if she doesn’t think she’ll get to be a six rotation left side!).

How about waiting till she is actually leaving to say goodbye! Psu assistant coach started following her I'm not an avid Instagram user. So could that PSU coach be sending her dm's and nobody would know? Are coaches allowed to contact a SA of another program if they aren't in the transfer portal? What are the rules, if any? Thanks in advance.
