updated post.
I went with academic years.
Every player but Kushner has at least one year of eligibility remaining after 2023.

Is the transfer any better than Foti? Or is she good enough defensively to play Libero?
You’d think the Texas match would have Marquette thinking, “okay, we’re consistently dominating the BE along with Creighton, but that’s not good enough to compete for a Final Four run. What helps us take the next step?” And the obvious answer is size on the pins. This doesn’t help that.

I don't know who their 2023s are... but I thought a libero would be their first target and then maybe an opposite. or someone with size. (Foti's right side blocking was a weakness)

Anchante was named HM AA... robbed.
She's better than Stucky and Grome (and Podraza)
frauds.

Anchante was named HM AA... robbed. She's better than Stucky and Grome (and Podraza) frauds. I don’t know about frauds, but I’d take 6’ Anchante over 5’9 Blossom. Although Blossom absolutely deserved 1st team. I’d for sure take her over anyone else. I bet she gets more recognition next year. BTW, I feel like Coach Theis had a great point in his post game press conference. If Marquette has one or two losses instead of three, there’s a chance they’re a #2 or #3 seed instead of a #4 with a better shot of making the Elite Eight. As San Diego just showed, it’s going to be tough sledding for a mid major to earn a regional host, fair or not (it’s not). As far as the length at pins, there are schools with one or two somewhat undersized pins. Texas has a factory on campus where they churn out physical pins one after another, so I’m not sure they’re the team to compare to in that regard.

Anchante doesn’t have near the talent as some of the top teams… yet she still got them to the same part of the tournament (and beat some of them)

And that’s just from a stat perspective. You watch her matches and her sets are just butter. Honestly, the story of the match for me wasn’t the size of the pins but Texas serving hyper aggressively and getting Marquette out of system. That negated a big part of Marquette’s advantage. In any case, Anchante is a whiz.

I just think this year is Marquette's ceiling. Maybe they have a one off year where they hit a home run in the transfer portal. But they'll get a big win or two in the non-con, they'll have 3 shots at big wins against Creighton, and they'll roll everyone else in the Big East. It'll get them on the bubble of a top 4 seed, they'll make a Sweet 16 if the second round matchup is right, and they'll just run into a bigger, more athletic team that has been challenged in 75% of their conference matches, rather than 10%. Watching the Elite 8 matches, Marquette wouldn't have pushed any of them to 5. They might catch a team sleeping after that team rolls in the first two sets to push it to four (like Texas in the Sweet 16), but that's it. I know they pushed Wisconsin to 4 in Madison and probably should've gone 5, but Madison was challenged throughout the Big 10 season plus got their starting libero back. Ohio State and Oregon were probably the two worst Elite 8 teams (so someone you'd have to beat to make it to the next round for MU) and I don't think Marquette challenges either of those teams seriously. I just think at a certain point, size and athleticism win out, and Marquette doesn't have a ton.
To me, Hamilton needs to be the 3rd best pin if you want to compete with the big girls. She's the best MU has.

I think an Elite Eight appearance is more than a possibility.

Fully agree with the above. The connections with Bray and Murray should only get better. With Anchante at the helm this team is only going to continue to improve.
