Right. Forgot. Good choice. Also I feel like bringing in Team USA's passing guru (and Team USA does pass lights out) is probably a good fix for what has ailed UW recently. My earlier comment. This would be a great team for UW.

You could have said this of Cook when Jim left, but Cook did a great job. I’m not qualified to say whether Mansfield is good or not. If I were mak8ng the decision, my first call would be to Gabriel to see if she’s changed her mind and wants it this time. If she says no, my second call is to Gabriel to see if she has anybody she wants to work with. Realistically she knows better than anybody else at UW who the candidates should be. I do wonder whether Thompson has enough assistant experience to be a HC yet, but it is my fantasy that she comes back to win us another national championship. I remember Courtney Thompson being interviewed sometime shortly winning the title and talking about her desire to become a college athletic direcctor. Maybe she's changed her mind and would like to be a head coach. The other ex-Husky who's been coaching is Vansant. Yeah, for completeness, my fantasy would be a team of Thompson, Gabriel, and VanSant taking the team to a national title and then every player who ever played with any of them showing up for the ceremony the first home match of the next season. I could see Thompson being a good AD but her resume screams coach more than administrator.

But she’s only been doing it a couple of years.

I would take a flyer on Alex Dunphy. She played and apprenticed under Mick Haley and learned what not to do under Crouch

Yeah, sorry Tomasevic, it's a no from me Kind of like how fans like to project incoming freshmen as better than their returning players, because there is no track record so they let their imagination run wild.

The real question is: How long will it take for UW to announce that they've hired Mansfield? The sooner the better, it seems to me, so he can get right to work keeping UW's commits onboard.

It took 10 days to hire KCook when Jim McLaughlin left for Notre Dame. If Jason Mansfield is the choice, I think it will either take around the same time or less.
