B12 NPOY bb. We all know Kipp has probably the biggest chance for NCAA NPOY. Especially w/ Stucky out of the running. Interesting. I would not have put Stucky in the conversation. Anna De Beer, Erin Livingston, Asjia if she can get the offense going Well if we were to consider 1NPOY per FF4 team. Stucky would be the standout for Florida. DeBeer for Lousville. Wisconsin.... um Robinson? Who would you choose for Wisco. Beason/Rodriguez for Nebraska. This is just based on the current TOP4 now.

Wisconsin running a 6-2 is probably a detrimental factor for individual awards. But yes, Robinson is probably to leading candidate. Maaaaybe Smrek if she goes off. On Nebraska, the amount of quality players kind of cancels each other out in terms of individual awards too. I would love it to be Lexi, but IDK if a libero has ever won NPOY (obviously I could look this up but I won't)

I think Sarah Franklin is going to surprise a lot of non-Badger fans when it's said and done. Anna Smrek is getting time at all spots across the front. As she settles in and continues to get comfortable with Carter Booth, she could go off. I'm not sure any Badger can get POY. As noted, the 6-2 is a likely impediment

anyone watching the battle of the purples (tcu vs ksu) on epsn+ Yep. Outside of BYU and Kansas, TCU has most firepower. The transfer setter from Mizzou is settling in well and now Parra is showcasing a nasty float serve. Hoping to catch the horns in Fort Worth this year.

Always enjoy @chadgordon09 (on Twitter/X) stat break downs. He has his lists out for pre-conference 2023 rankings. Rare to not see Texas players populate these lists. However, he specifically notes on the rankings for opposites that as Swindle continues to get comfortable that will change. Molly dropped from an end of 2022 season ranking of 1st to 20th on the opposites list. For the current Big12, Parra comes in at 16, Livingston at 19, Stowers and Hatch at 29 and 30 respectively for outsides. Attachments:

trying to cut down on the errors, less topspin more float that's what i thought I tuned in for about 1 set and quit watching when it was obvious that K-State is still in it's first year rebuild and playing sloppier than TCU.
Para had 4 SE, which is about average for her.
While watching, I was astounded to see that by late in the second set TCU was outblocking K-State 13-3. And then they showed one player and said she had 10 blocks so far. Wait what?
I looked it up on the box score, yeah Brianna Green had 10 blocks to her stats! Grad transfer MB from Denver U.
With......64 blocks so far in the season!!
(Asjia has 38)

Both K-State and TCU were in the top ten in the nation in blocks per set entering this match (as is BYU). Texas Tech was 18th.

I’m constantly impressed with Swindle on the block. I have a lot of confidence in her. It’s just going to take more time for her to hit her stride directing the offense. When she’s on, her serves are really wicked, too. She’s consistently putting the opponent out of system.

TCU's top three blockers have: 64, 49, 31 individual blocks.
As a team, they're 9th in the country at 2.89 blocks/set

She’s the third leading blocker on the nation’s top blocking team per set. TCU has played a bunch more sets, partly because they’ve played more matches and partly because they have longer matches. Not to take anything away from Buckley, either. But comparing total blocks is silly. No offense, but it’s not even a relevant comparison.
