tbh at this point, plz send us to Lincoln. I think the pressure of playing a higher seed will allow the girls to relax a bit, which won't necessarily correlate to a win, but at least they can play a bit more freely than if they were playing a lower seeded team. How sweet would it be after 2021? the 2021 match never happened.

I’m a little late to the party in terms of Texas v Nebraska. to me I forget people consider it a rivalry other than both teams being elite Volleyball programs since I wasn’t keeping up with the team as much when Nebraska was in the Big 12. So I feel left out of the “animosity”.
Maybe I see it differently since I look at UT athletics as a whole more. For example Volleyball is just another program Texas excels in, but is it the only program Nebraska excels in? (Not being shady genuinely don’t know their athletics as well).

Well, I don’t think Texas is going to fall to an 8/9, but I guess we’ll see. Plus maybe the committee decides they like bracketing the matchup regardless. But I’d be excited for a Nebraska/Texas matchup in Lincoln. I was rooting for a Texas v Nebraska matchup in Omaha last year. The handshakes would be all kinds of fun! You mean the handshakes between coaches? The players are pretty friendly I think, they all know each other from club, USNTP, Under-Armour, what have you. I don't want to play Nebraska (unless it's the championship, lol) just because I like hanging out on VT and I don't want it to explode into a massive %*$#show between their fans and ours Your nightmare is my dream! Yeah, I can’t imagine there’s much antagonism between the players. Heck, Akana was a teammate.

How sweet would it be after 2021? the 2021 match never happened. this would be true if my YouTube algorithm hadn't caught on to the fact that I've literally watched every available Texas match (more than once usually) other than this one and is usually the FIRST suggestion every time I log into YouTube, reminding me daily of this match lol

I set it for the 2020 championship

How sweet would it be after 2021? I get what you're saying; but, that is putting the horse before the cart. No doubt Nebraska will be the #1 national seed; if we get placed in the Lincoln Regional it would be as the 8 or 9 seed. If we win our first two matches at home, playing the regional semi-final in Lincoln (on a "neutral" court) would be a challenge; no "relaxing a bit" as we'd be playing a team the committee believes is pretty much equal to ours. I think you're talking about getting to the Regional final (no guarantee) against Nebraska and not being the team with all the pressure.

can someone someone tell me all the tools the committee uses to determine the seeds for the tournament? i think i'm forgetting one or two of them The following criteria shall be employed by a governing sports committee in selecting participants for NCAA championships competition [Bylaw 31.3.3; Criteria for Selection of Participants]: Won-lost record Strength of schedule Eligibility and availability of student-athletes for NCAA championships In addition to Bylaw 31.3.3, the Women’s Volleyball Committee has received approval from the NCAA Division I Competition Oversight Committee to consider the following criteria in the selection of at-large teams for the volleyball championship (not necessarily in priority order): Primary Criteria Rating Percentage Index Head-to-head competition Results versus common opponents Significant wins and losses KPI Secondary Criteria If the evaluation of the primary criteria does not result in a decision, the secondary criteria will be reviewed. All the criteria listed will be evaluated. Late-season performance (last 10 matches) Eligibility and availability of student-athletes Location of contest
