Who are we wanting to win between Pitt and Louisville? Pitt Maybe. I don't think we're passing Louisville in seeding even if they lose. Whereas I do think we'll be ahead of Pitt if they lose. Neither result is going to get us a regional this year, so I don't really care that much.

I cannot believe Audrey Nalls (who torched us for 24 kills on .541 efficiency) is hitting .172 on the year!!! For comparison Wenaas is hitting .226, and Parra around the same at .230.
Skinner at .280 with the highest K/S too.

TCU seems to have had abnormally bad luck with injuries the last two years.

As someone who has watched pretty much every TCU match this year it comes down to Buckley being out (I have no idea what happened her), slow starts defensively, & not enough depth on the bench to sub in some players.

It’s interesting, I thought Buckley was underwhelming at times and occasionally was pulled for Nicholson (though she could’ve been trying to play through injury). I think their lack of middle offense really hurts them, it’s pretty much shoot to the outsides or out of system high ball to the outsides. They do use the back row a lot to help mitigate that but their outsides are too Jekyll and Hyde to put all their eggs in that basket IMO. Also something that perplexes me is what happened to Julia Adams? She’s up there in TCU all time kills (top 10?), 2nd team all big 12 at one point, and has disappeared this season, and when she has subbed in hasn’t looked the same. Injuries as well?

Although Buckley did have her bad moments I think as of late it’s hard when we have an undersized setter and Gibson will be hot and cold defensively so it’s easy to them to fall behind when Nicholson is up front. I know that TCU had a ton of injuries this season and i think that contributed to a lot of the losses.

I’m confused about seating and hosting regionals, and I should know this but I don’t, but everyone in here is so kind I’m sure it’s a safe space…..
So, if hypothetically Texas is assigned to (let’s say) a Louisville regional and Louisville loses does the regional come to Austin or stay in the original host assignment. Seems like NCAA would want to be in a full gym of fans and if the host university loses it just won’t play well on TV.
